This helped to anchor my float so I could stay close to shore and relax while floating for hours in the ocean!

It looks small in the picture. This bitch is like the size of a 5 gallon bucket.

I took on vacation to attach my floats to in ocean. Easy to pack, fill with sand and held floats in place well. Others there asked where I purchased they liked so well.

I worry about the long term use. I add a lot of sand as well as water. It will slowly drift in waves. I can count on it to keep me from floating away in the current, that is what is important to me.

The only thing I'd change is the two rings at the buckle. But you can simply use a couple of carabiners through the webbing and bypass the plastic rings. I'd be concerned about them breaking over time or should the anchor become caught on something and require more than just lifting force.

This dry bag has become my de facto briefcase at work. It holds my laptop and basic paperwork and equipment when I’m going from one rainy outdoor field site to another. It was in a puddle all day yesterday and in torrential rain today and weathered just fine. The materiel is softer and more flexible than other dry bags I have owned - it has almost a buttery feel to it. It’s lovely, though I would not expect it to stand up to heavy abrasion.I live in the Pacific Northwest, where we have big waves, winds, currents, and lots of sharp things under the water. When I have a canoe, kayak, or small skiff I haul it up the beach and tie it to something fixed in place, like a large log or a tree. When I have something that’s too heavy to drag up a beach, I think it’s worthwhile to use a proper anchor. This is not a proper anchor. It might be fine for a super sandy beach without too much current or large tides. However, I’d want to make sure that the bag is flooded so that it’s no buoyant air is counteracting the mass of the rocks/sand, and I wouldn’t expect it to last for more than a weekend before chafing through the bag. Even then, you’re probably better off to set a more traditional anchor - even a mushroom anchor, if you don’t want sharp corners or anchor-setting technique - and then you’ll be able to rely on it with a much greater sense of security. You can even re-use the nifty anchor line that comes with this lovely dry bag.

Great kit with a several uses: drybag, buoy, and anchor. Everything about the kit is quality: PVC bag, rope, stainless steel clip, rope and buckle on the bag.Functioning as a dry bag, I have a few dry bags and this one is on par with them. After four full folds, I can't get any air to escape when giving it a bear hug.As a buoy, it holds a lot of air and is bright in color. We got this to serve as a sand anchor. The mouth is large and easy to fill. It's easy to buckle close and appears to be able to hold more sand than we'd need to secure our raft or canoe. The anchor bag that came with our raft was too small in size and the mouth was too small to fill with anything but your hand. This one is easy to fill with a shovel plus the PVC is sturdy enough that it stands up straight on its own making it easy to fill. The nylon rope is thick and strong and the stainless steel clip opens easily and secures well.Love this kit.

I can’t tell you right now how great it works, or how the longevity factor is, as it’s winter here in NY, and so I have to wait until early June to start using this seemingly incredible treasure!!We have traditional anchors we put down on our small, lake boat by our camper, and I’ve also tried a small one on my fishing kayak but it would never stay grounded. We (or I) depending on which device, would keep getting unlatched and floating away. This seems like an extraordinary idea for both of our particular marine devices, so that fishing and chilling out on the lake won’t be such a struggle anymore. Especially if a jet ski goes by, or the wind picks up a bit. That would be heavenly just to stay PUT!!I’m giving it 4 stars for now, just for what I can see of the quality out of the box (unfilled) & what I have read of the device for the price, but when trial time comes, it will either go up to a 5th star, or lose a star or more- maybe stay the same. Only time will tell, but I’m very excited about this product. It makes a lot of sense & sounds like a great invention. We shall see! I am positive & hopeful, but .. gotta wait & I'm looking forward to it 👍.4 stars for now! Will update in early summer ☀️!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️** I hope my review is as helpful as it can be, thus far 😊. **
