Several important design changes are being introduced, including larger diameter and solid fiberglass structural ribs, and hinge connectors which are twice as strong as on our last model. Also added to these improvements is a powder-coated aluminum frame (so even if scratched, it will not rust), a 4-point locking height adjuster and a Sur-Lock push-up mechanism. This uniquely designed 6ft. x 6ft. square umbrella can be used on almost any vessel from a small fishing boat to the larger high performance boats. AnchorShade III is designed to be used when anchored or at idle speed on a calm day.

Flimsy plastic snap together construction. Umbrella canopy supports not property installed right out of the box. No clips to attach to points on your boat. Should not be priced higher than $50.

Pontoons require some engineering to determine where best to anchor the back straps.

4 stars for have not used yet but looks to be well made at a reasonable price. I don't feel you would be able to use while moving to fast which it says not designed for, but if not windy, I feel it will be ok at a slow putt. Two of my friends have been using them and really like it.

Bought this for shade on the back of our 30’ boat when we don’t want the whole canvas on. It’s very sturdy and very versatile.

Where the strap meets the umbrella there is a plastic ring that hooks onto a plastic clip. In one place where that happens one of the rings must have split because it was somehow melted back together because it was already sowed in and they probably didn't want to take it apart to replace with new plastic ring. So I do not have much hope that it will last very long. I am just so tired of calling people to fix what should not be bad in the first place. I have purchased this umbrella in the past and it does do a great job on our boat. I just wish they would come up with a better solution to the plastic rings and hooks.

Excellent product and quality. One major problem we had was the umbrella was not assembled completely in the spreaders. In fact they were miss aligned totally. After several hours of re assembling it was and continues to be a great product.
