This cheek rest is just what I needed. It's adjustable height is great to get a good sight line. The padding really absorbed much of the recoil of my semiautomatic 12 gauge shotgun. It's really a must have accessory for avid Shooters. I highly recommend this to anyone who has the want and need to get one.

Mounted on a CZ 457 MTR with the heavy stock it mounts very tight but I may have to add an additional spacer for additional height. Put in all 3 included fillers in its pouch which is max so I will probably have to add a spacer underneath the rest to get the cheek height I need to get the proper full scope site picture without a shadow ring or neck strain for my face structure. If this cheek rest slides forward like other reviewers mentioned I may have to add another strap to go around the back of the stock. I may be lucky and not need it because the rear mounting strap is right behind the stud for the sling and may prevent the cheek rest from moving forward. Included was a piece of stick on Velcro to help prevent sliding but in no way was I going to put it on and mess up the beautiful woodwork if I decide to remove the rest permanently. As far as cleaning the action and barrel from the chamber end it is easy enough to just remove the stock to allow the cleaning rod not to be obstructed by the cheek rest which I prefer anyway to prevent getting chemicals on the woodwork. I will update my review in the future either way when I get some good use on it. Thank you DoneWrenching.

Easy to install and stays in place. Comfortable to use and allows me to relax and take that shot. I have two and when they come back in stock will buy a few more.

Seems like it would be a cheapo, simple item that may or may not work but I put it on my rifle and it's a lifesaver. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I haven't exposed it to moisture or rain only been used dry. In dry conditions there is no slipping of the pad on the stock or your face on the riser pad. I did make sure to fasten the straps as tight as I could when installing. It could just be me but my face seemed to just meld to it, doesn't feel like anything is under my face other than softer than a stock and the 4 inserts was perfect height so look directly into the optic no additional adjustments required. It is mounted on a savage 110 with a 50mm Athlon scope using low rings if any of that makes a difference either. I can just lay my cheek on that pad and shoot all day.

This cheek rest is really nice and Durable, fits most older wooden stock hunting rifles with a little adjustment.
