Works great,but didn't come as a 6 pack, came as a 5 pack,but all working great. Maybe a mishap in packaging..but the 5 items works great.

TL/DR: The coupler is shielded and neatly housed within a white plastic enclosure. I noticed no degradation in network/internet speed or functionality.This shielded connector is great for connecting two shorter cables. In my case, I wanted to stretch an ethernet cable between the Internet router in the far end of our home office to the opposite end of our adjacent (and large) master bedroom, as wireless wasn't playing nicely with the various electronics in that room.Renting means drilling holes/snaking cable in the walls isn't an option, so I had to feed the cable from the router, across the office, through the bedroom door's hinge gap and around two walls of the bedroom to a gigabit switch. Since there are times when you want or need to fully shut a bedroom door, using TWO cables joined by an inline connector next to the hinge gap is a LOT more straightforward than unplugging at the internet router or switch and dragging 15 (office) or 30 (bedroom) feet of cable across the room and through a hinge gap.
