The timer works as intended, it works well.The wiring instructions are not entirely clear, in fact they use terminology that does not coincide with modern electrical design or usage. Perhaps if they spent a little more time translating, or better, include an actual photo of the various correct connections they would get fewer returns from people who set it up incorrectly. But it does work well once....

The stated description and the documentation specifies 12-230v for the input (a1-a2) however, the model you actually receive is only 230 v. I didn't realize because with 24 v input one light (R) lights up, however UN (power to unit?) never lights up under these voltages.

This exact switch/relay is slated to operate on 120 or 240 volts, and it does. BUT.. it DOES NOT "control" a 240v system. This relay operates one leg of a circuit and one circuit only. In other words, it operates a 120v system and does so being powered by either 120 volts or 240 volts. I bought this wanting to operate a 240v system and ultimately wired this switch to operate another relay breaking/making both legs of the single phase 240v line.With that said..... once you figure it out.... this switch operates exactly as you hope. It's easy to set up and easy to manipulate. Takes a little fudging around get the timing you want but it's not overly complicated or time consuming to do so.I recommend this switch to anyone needed a timed control of a 120V system.
