I had to adjust my needle position in order to achieve the 1/4 inch seam allowance. It works perfectly with the Accufeed system!

It is hard to believe that I waited as long as I did to buy one of these. Makes 1/2 and 1/4 square triangles go together accurately. Would buy again in a heart beat.

Many say that this product does not work correctly. They are wrong. You must read the instructions for it to work properly. The needle needs to be moved to the 5.5 position to get an accurate 1/4 inch seam. I can finally do bindings by machine, on both sides using this foot.

Sadly, the first time I used this was today, one day past the deadline to return. I will donate to a thrift shop. I've used Janome machines and accessories for decades, and they've been reliable until this time.Apparently, in Japan's calibrations, 1/4" = 3/8", so the seams are too large. I made a small project for our church missions program, and it's a mess because of the inaccuracy in the foot. The project now lives in my wastebasket. The only positive thing is that I hadn't embarked on a large quilt or similar where more fabric and time would have been wasted.Janome needs to re-engineer and make an accurate 1/4" walking foot. This reflects badly on their good name.
