This jar opener is well made and works like a charm on all different sizes of jar lids. The price was very affordable also.

The flexibility in the product makes it difficult to get a solid enough grip.

I never thought of myself as a particularly strong, independent woman. I was always just me in my mind. Now, as a woman in my 70’s I have SO had to reevaluate my thinking. Oh mentally I am definitely a strong, independent woman but physically I am more and more dependent upon physical aids…walkers, canes, wheelchair, and thankfully there are people who are making it possible for me to once again be able to get myself a glass of my favorite beverage when there’s nobody around to ’lend me their hands and feet’.I’ve had this jar and multi function can/bottle opener for over a year now. Unfortunately I had to replace them, along with a host of other household items due to a WAY OVERZEALOUS or either COMPLETELY INSANE housecleaning service which simply TOSSED almost everything that wasn’t nailed down. Moving right along because my partner keeps telling me I have to let all that stuff go because I can’t change it. He’s right of course, I can’t change it but I have started replacing items including these practically invaluable kitchen tools. With these two babies I am not forced to slake my thirst with a glass of water. Before anyone decides to have a cow about me not drinking water I drink anywhere from two to three 32 ounce bottles of water daily. They are included on the list of items I need one of these openers for daily and they have NEVER let me down.I read most of the one and two star reviews for these, and other openers like them, and the reviewers were primarily complaining about the long opener not opening the bottle. After I used mine I had to wonder if they had tried only one of the ‘notches’ on the opener. They may all look the same but as I learned, through trial and error, if I couldn’t open the water bottle with the first level just move up and try again on the second or third. I’ve never failed to get a bottle open with either of these openers. It almost goes without saying, it is much easier to get a bottle cap off with the smaller opener. I rarely drink anything that is canned these days but I have occasionally used the smaller opener to open cans and it works very well for that purpose also. Bottle caps are a breeze to open with this smaller opener. Truth be told, I have more difficulty getting the opened cap out of the opener after the bottle is opened than I did opening the bottle. A nail file or butter knife has solved that problem nicely. All in all, if you are losing strength in your hands or are tired of struggling with jars then these two tools can definitely help make life a bit easier for you. And for less than $10. including the tax, you really should consider making your life a bit easier, at least in the kitchen.

This jar opener is a must have in any kitchen even if you think you have the strongest grip. There’s bound to be plenty of jars you have in your pantry that, despite having the best strength grip, just won’t budge. I have difficulty opening jars due to arthritis in my right wrist and thumb and this jar opener works perfectly without any real physical effort. My husband, who works out daily, teased me about buying this jar opener because he claimed he could open any jar without help. Recently two jars in our pantry challenged his claim and he failed. 🤣 He asked me for jar opener and it popped right open. He had to admit that despite having a great handgrip that there always be jar lids that defy human strength. I’m definitely pleased with my purchase and would recommend this item to anyone regardless of any disabilities or personal strength.

Liked my first set so much I decided to buy 4 more sets. I donated one to the office, and the other 3 to elderly people who have a hard time with arthritis opening caps and jars. Best invention.
