I was surprised that the solution is as dilute as it is. Patience is required--patience and lots of soft, cotton cloth. I used cut-up old cotton socks. The first coat, or application, of the solution is a primer coat. Let it dry 15-30 minutes and then apply a second coat. You'll be amazed at the results. A third or even fourth coat may be necessary to achieve the luster you want. So buy the 4 ounce jar, not the 2, so you won't worry about running outThis is truly a uniquely excellent product most people have never heard of. I imagined silver plating a castor set would cost in the hundreds of dollars. It's not a small project, yet I calculate I've used no more than $12 worth of Jax. Now that's value!

I purchased a different brand of silver plating solution on E tsy - which worked fantastically but seller only sells SMALL bottles, long ship time, and pay for shipping. I thought I'd try this as it came in a larger bottle, and ships free with Prime from Amazon. NO dice. Did not work in the least.I think that may be unique to this particular product though, because this company does make other solutions for other metals such as brass, etc.. that have excellent reviews. I will try them again for the other items I have that need restoration.

Easy to use for extremely detailed pieces that have alot of nooks and crannies. Will purchase again. The item was well shipped. Glass bottle was bubble wrapped and the top was taped to prevent leakage.

This product did nothing for my jewelry. It was like putting on silver colored water. At this time all I can say is back to the drawing board
