I bought these with doubt about its quality. The first time I pulled down on the latch, forgetting I just installed a locking latch, it broke the locking mechanism. My old latches released fair easily so I didn't much force to latch.The threaded rode that is the actual lock is made of very low quality metal. Almost anyone can pull on it and break the lock. The latch still works but the lock doesn't .I highly recommend get a higher quality latch.

These hood latches could be the best in the market. They look great and fit perfectly on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Material is real aluminum and steel, not plastic. The only thing is that the locking mechanism (plate & bolt) that turns with the key is too weak... not solid at all (cheap piece of crap). If you pull the latch with your hand moderately hard, the locking plate will bend and break away easily, letting it free to unlatch, thus allowing the hood to be opened. That's Not an anti-theft lock.I really liked the look and the fit, but they need to improve the locking plate & bolt to make it strong enough and unbreakable.Too bad I lost my 30-day return window, and they don't offer any warranty on these (do they?). I just lost my money and my trust in this company.So, if you guys at JeCar read this... I am willing to give it another try and to promote your product if you improve it and make it unbreakable. Just need to replace the locking mechanism with a reinforced steel plate and bolt that won't bend or break.In the meantime... send me my money back!!
