These are viola bridges, not violin bridges.For they are, they good enough- just not violin bridges.

I am a fulltime luthier. I bought this pack to have a variety of bridges on hand for the entry level violins I service for a local school. These are fantastic, solid hard maple. Properly fitting and shaping of these is required, because these are blanks. No bridges on tuning pegs can just be dropped right in, they require the knowledge and tools to be properly fitted.I only say that because I read reviews from frustrated buyers who thought they could just swap these right out without any work. Anyone can learn the skills and acquire the tools required to do this.

I cannot speak to the quality of these for use on an actual instrument, because they would need to be adjusted by a qualified luthier. But I loved the variety in sizes, and they worked wonderfully to decorate my musica studio Christmas tree! As decorations, they are great!

This is the second time ordering the bridges. What a terrific value!!!!The first time, one of the bridges broke in transit. The rest were all usable. The value was so good that I kept them.I ran out a specific size so i opted to order the set again.This time they're all perfect.I wish the wood were a bit sturdier for the E string. To fix that, after carving the feet and bridge top, I dabbed a drop of superglue under where the E string would lay.I have ordered this twice now. I'll be ordering more once I runout again.Cheers!!!

You need a file in order to make slits for the strings other then that it’s not a problem
