Before using, I had to do some adjustments. I found it a little difficult to use at first, but it does do the job it is intended to do. Is it a professional $200 luthiers tool, NO. But it is a good budget tool for someone who only needs one occasionally.

Worked well could have been sharper for ebony pins but blades are removable and after a bit of honing worked fine

Works great. Just need to loosen the screws and adjust the blade to just barely extending out more than the holes and tighten the screws down.

May work for fractional violins but too small for 4/4. Not sharp either.

Needed sharpening and adjustment to reduce chatter and splitting.

The blades are in very bad shape; not sharp at all. The angle on the blades are not right for the 4x4 violin. Overall very bad quality. Stay away.
