Feels solid. If you need a 35mm lens, go for it.For some reasons i was under the impression that this was a macro lens but it was not.

You can't really beat this lens at this price. My wife recently got into photography and wanted a fast 35mm prime lens to fill a gap in our collection, but as I'm pretty sure she'll lose interest soon enough I didn't want to invest in something that'll only be used for a couple of months. This lens from Jintu is perfect. Sure, it's not a patch on a name brand lens with the same specs, but it's much, much better than the price would suggest. It's fairly lightweight and feels very well built, and the results are surprisingly good. The image remains sharp in the centre even fully open, and while it softens a little at the edges it's nothing I'd call a dealbreaker. At this price this is an easy five stars.

There's a lot to love about this lens:+ f/1.2 lets a lot of light in, so it's easy to get clean low iso shots indoors.+ The bokeh is wonderfully dreamy at 1.2, and with 9 almost circular blades even stopped down it's pleasant to look at.+ The body is solid metal and will hold up much better than the plastic low cost options+ The price is exceptional+ Image quality is nice with well controlled flare+ Stepless aperture and silent controls, make it useful for video work+ Very useful 35mm focal length is perfect for portraits and small groupsThere's a few nice but not perfect things:* Easy to read marking are printed rather than etched, so they may wear off over time.* Manual focus, it's great for learning and being really in control of your photography. But with such a shallow depth of field, get used to taking a lot of extra photos and still missing critical focus from time to time because it "looked good" in the view finder. The good news is that the built in Sony focus peaking for manual focus does help.Overall, if you're a purist who only like manual focus then this is a great buy. If you're a student who needs a manual focus lens to learn with, it's a great buy. If you are an experienced photographer on a tight budget and you want to be able to create images that look like they were made with a much more expensive gear, then this is a great buy. BUT, if you are a beginner and just see a cheap lens with incredible low light specs... you may want to consider getting an autofocus 50mm 1.8 plastic lens instead... it's not as good technically or structurally, and they are roughly twice the price, but you will will not frustrate yourself over so many blurry photos that looked good when you took them.

Image quality is great! Just the focus you have to play around with but for value of money it’s worth it!

its all metal but the weight on it is very balanced. doesn't have much wight to it. the rings turns very very smooth. the first two pictures is of the lens on a Sony zve 10. the last two are random pictures I took with the lens without setting wight balance, with out changing anything like contrast or nothing like that. the only thing I adjusted was focus and aperture. that's all. this lens is sharp. I took those last two pictures in a dark room actually with one light on. this handles low light conditions very well. I haven't run into any issues using this with my camera. the instructions is very simple. I give this lens 10 out of 10.

The Jintu 35mm f1.2 prime lens is an APS-C large aperture manual focus mirrorless lens at a great price. The Sony E-mount version works with my old alpha 5100 after remembering that I must set it to "release without lens" in settings.Features of note:> 35mm is great for landscape, portrait> f1.2 is great for low light conditions> 9 aperture blades gives decent quality bokeh> multi-layer coating of front lens suppresses flare> chromium plated E-mount> sturdy all-metal body with surface oxidation treatmentThis attached easily to my E-mount camera and both the aperture and focus rings turn smoothly. This is a manual prime and the shallow depth of field means making more than one adjustment to the ring to finally get your subject in focus. If you are used to automatic focus, you will be frustrated. If you are a pro with manual focus, this is a great, inexpensive prime lens.

JINTU's Manual Focus Prime Lens is very nicely made with a metal body. It's a weighty and substantial feeling lens, but it isn't heavy or bulky. It balances nicely on my Sony a6100 body. The focus and aperture wheels both move smoothly. The lens attached to the Sony a6100 without issue. In order for it to work correctly I had to go into the Sony's menu and turn on the "release without lens" option. The lens does not communicate electronically with the Sony so you'll need to do this to take photos. It also means that you won't see aperture information in the metadata. The lens is easy to use, especially when I activate the Sony's magnified view option. It makes it easy to hit the proper focus point. When focused properly the lens is sharp and crisp. There is good contrast, minimal distortion, and little vignetting. There is pretty substantial purple fringing when the aperture is opened up, but it's easy to remove in post processing. I found the lens fun and enjoyable to shoot with. It was fun to work more manually with my camera. All in all... a great lens.
