I absolutely could not stand the factory installed clip that comes on the mic. This here fixes that. Making it a locking cold shoe bracket. Thank you!

Ever since I had my DJI Mic it has never fit in properly to my Hot Shoe mount, I was afraid of breaking the factory mount...sometimes I would just let it dangle. I had no idea this existed so I tried it out hoping this would help. So much easier to put on and take off. Works fantastic, just what I needed!

I got this for my DJI Mic mini, which it is not supposed to be compatible with (realized after ordering).Even though they are similar, the Mic Mini' slot on the receiver is thinner by a few mm on each side. So I just took a knife to this one and trimmed it down a bit on both sides roughly, and now it works great on my DJI mic mini receiver with a nice snug fit. I have it mounted to my FX3 cage for audio straight into my camera and it works great; I need the added height from the hot shoe to reach my 3.5mm jack.

One of the few drawbacks of the DJI Mic 2 is how the receiver's cold shoe mount offers no way to "snug it up" and hold it in place. This is generally not a problem when the receiver is attached directly to my camera's hot shoe. BUT if I use this receiver with a cage that has a cold shoe, the receiver just flops around...and can even fall out of the cold shoe. This adapter is the solution to that problem.Not only can you screw it tight and in place on any cold shoe, but it snugly connects with the receiver. It also has a hole for a 1/4" thread, so you can put it on a tripod if you like. (NOTE: There are no electrical components to this adapter. You'll need to use a cable to attach it to your camera's mic jack...which is not a problem for me. As I said, I'm attaching it to a cold shoe anyway!)I'm relieved to have this adapter in my DJI Mic 2 bag. Now I know I can SECURELY attach the receiver to any cold shoe and not worry about it flopping around or falling out of the cage.Incidentally, they also make one for the original DJI Mic. Oddly enough, the DJI Mic connection to this adapter is slightly bigger than the DJI Mic 2. So make sure you have a DJI Mic 2 (not the original DJI Mic) so you get the right size. It's worth it!

This cold shoe mount fits my DJI Mic 2 perfectly, providing a snug and secure fit that alleviates any worries about it coming loose. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it for shots involving aggressive movements. It’s been a game-changer for me, allowing me to mount the mic on my portable monopod and use it like a conventional microphone. The cold shoe mount and nut function as intended, with the nut holding everything securely in place. Additionally, the cold shoe includes a 1/4" thread screw hole, enabling other attachment options like tripods. This is a fantastic accessory for anyone looking to expand the versatility of their DJI Mic 2. Just a heads-up—be sure to purchase the correct version, as the DJI Mic 1 and 2 adapters are not cross-compatible!
