Your cart is empty. This conversion lens adapter is for the Olympus Tough TG-7, TG-6, TG-5, TG-4, TG-3, TG-2 and TG-1 digital cameras which replaces Olympus CLA-T01 adapter ring. The adapter is threaded, allowing 40.5mm filters to be used for additional protection and/or image effects. The adapter clips on and off quickly, so it provides an option to choose where and when these accessories are used.

How to Use:
Attaching Converter Lenses and Filters
1) Attach a converter adapter.
Align the mounting marks and rotate the adapter clockwise until it clicks into place.
2) Rotate the lens or filter clockwise to screw it onto the adapter.
Removing Converter Lenses and Filters
1) Rotate the lens or filter counterclockwise.
2) Remove the converter adapter.
Keeping the lens ring release button pressed, rotate the adapter counterclockwise to remove.

The adaptor ring is wholly black. If you want matching colors with your camera, select OM System (formerly Olympus) genuine parts.

Adapter works for Olympus teleconverter lens TCON-T01 but it breaks easily. This is the second one I've bought. Why oh why not make it out of aluminum?

This works great, with maybe one BIG problem I had. It snaps into place when screwing it on the camera, but it seems to be on for good and cannot be unscrewed. I have the Olympus TG-4, which does not have any button to push to release it. So if you buy this adapter, be informed that it will screw onto some TG cameras and go SNAP No problem - It sure would have been nice if the TG cameras all had that 40.5 mm thread on the lens, to begin with.OH - After many messages from the supplier, and me messing with the adapter, I finally figured it out. You just have to lift up on the adapter at the mounting dot, then turn counterclockwise, then it will be released.

Got this to put a skylight filter on to keep my lens from getting scratched, works well for the purpose and is less expensive than the lens covers that are sold for the TG-6

Cheap. I bought this to be able to use the 40.5mm lens filters. I mainly wanted to use a clear filter for protection, this and a set of 3 filters were cheaper than the $50 Olympus lens cap/protector so I figured I’d some some $$. Very cheap flimsy piece of plastic that easily cross threads with the lens filter if you’re not careful. Had to remove from camera and slightly “pop” filter in then tighten to get filter to seat correctly. Feels like it will break if I ever do drop my tough camera but at the price point you get what you pay for. Also fits slightly loose.

I don't understand why Olympus didn't include this by default. Once you install it, all makes perfect sense, to the point I no longer use the original blank.Once installed, it add dept between the front of the lens and the outside, making the lens more protected. Even without anything attached to it, just this point make it a good purchase.This ring fits as good as the OEM and is way cheaper. No regrets at all.

On comparing this adapter to the stock Olympus adapter that came with the telecon lens, I couldn't see any difference between them on the end that locks onto the camera body. But when threading the TCON lens onto the two adapters, I found that the stock adapter would rotate 2.5 turns, while the aftermarket one locked up after 2 turns.OTOH, the Olympus adapter sells separately for almost three times the price of the "JJC", so I'm glad I bought it for a backup.
