The pump screws into base so when u want to service the pump u have to take your boat out of the water remove 3 bolts then unscrew from baseBAD DESIGN

When shopping around for a bilge pump, I saw this one and know it to be a trustworthy brand and at a decent price when compared to other off-brand and less familiar ones with similar capacity. The fact that the pump cartridge is a remove/replace item and that it had an included one way valve were an added bonus. It is now the end of my boating season and the few times that I activated the little pump it did its job admirably as expected. As this is a safety item, this gives me the peace of mind that it will perform as/when required. Good quality item at a very good price. Excellent job all around.👍👍

It works but it does not pump at its rated 750gph its probably closer to 400gph

I replaced an old 500gph bilge pump that was getting noisy with this one and it was an easy installation. The base is made so the holes are elongated to fit the same holes as my previous pump. I would give it 5 stars but to be honest I see no difference in discharge between my old 500gph and the new 750gph. Overall a good purchase.

Bought these to replace twin 560s in my 1992 Stratos bass boat. Installation was straight forward. Threw 10 gallons of water in the bilge, turned on the pumps and watched the water erupt from the ports. Very satisfied,

I get about 18 months to 2 years out of these pumps on my houseboat. Easy to install and well worth the price.

Exactly what I was looking for. Used this in combination with the electro-mag float switch. Works fine, but no help at all from Johnson customer service .... email questions about proper wiring went unanswered. So, pump (and float) works .... Johnson customer/tech services useless.
