Very easy installation and good quality. Made a huge difference in the stopping of my ebike, and no more squeaky brakes. They dont stop like true hydraulic brakes, but a HUGE improvement over the mechanical disc brakes.

I was planning on getting a really expensive group set with full hydraulic brakes. Then the microshift sword came to my attention. I would not have those hydraulic brakes I wanted.I found these and they are better than I expected. I think better than I could get with a full hydraulic setup. I had the post mount option. So no need to modify flat mounts with adapters etc.I am not doing any crazy downhill bashing or working them excessively hard. They are on an electric gravel bike and have very nicely stopped me from 50kph to 0 at traffic lights in a really short distance. The new pads were smoking.I’ll be getting another set for my hardtail MTB soon.

I convert one of my old bike to an e-bike and the original mechanical brake was making lot of noise and w/ the increased torque and speed of e-bike motor makes braking lot more harder and "scary" w/ the old mechanical disc brake. I was thinking about upgrading to a full hydraulic disc brake set, but had a not very smooth/easy hydraulic brake bleeding experience on another e-bike, I decide to take a chance and try this cable actuated hydraulic disc brake caliper by Juin Tech. Installation was very easy, I only need to replace the caliper and make minor adjustment and that was it, I did not need to change the rotor, adapters that came w/ the kit. So far I like the feel of this hydraulic disc brake caliper, these are very smooth and effective, no more noise and I feel much comfortable riding e-bike w/ higher speed and the brake stop the bike very well. Very happy with this brake upgrade; the only down-side is that you can only buy the whole kit and most the time you only need to change the caliper itself, so I was hoping that Juin can have an option to only buy the caliper and save us some money. Overall, these are good alternative to the fully hydraulic disc brake and getting a good braking power w/ good old simple cable pull brake lever.

Great brakes, and a terrific upgrade from the stock, Avid BB5 mechanical disc brakes I had before. So much more stopping power!Easy to install, easy to adjust, and easy to maintain (install new pads).I should have done this years ago.

I put these brakes on my 1000 watt e-bike. The stock brakes that come with most e-bikes are not good, unless you opt for hydraulic when purchasing. Mine were regular cable brakes, and this the best upgrade you can do to your e-bike.I replaced the rotor on the front tire, but just left the stock rotor tar on the back tire. The magic really happens in the hydraulic calipers anyhow. These brakes work wonderfully, probably a 30% increase in stopping power and no more brake noise. They stop smooth as silk even from 30 mph.I cannot recommend this kit enough, they are worth every penny if you have a faster e-bike with crummy stock calipers with cables.

The caliper that I put on the rear tire would not stop my bike. I took bike to a shop to have them look at it. Tech said he had to soak caliper in solvent that it wasn’t moving freely. Paid 100 bucks. It worked for a day. I sent the company an email asking for a replacement. No response. That’s a lot of money to spend for one working break on top of the money I spent at the bike shop trying to salvage caliper.

I have a two wheel front-hub electric recumbent 26 X 20 with 160 rotors. I replaced my Avid BB7s with the Juin Tech M1s which are for electric bikes. My review is in comparison to the Avid BB7s - in terms of braking power, I perceive the Juin Techs to be a bit better. I don't get a "tire lock-up, tires skidding" effect from the brakes - and wouldn't want to. Instead, I get a smooth, linear stop and the braking distance is shorter with the Juin Techs. But where this brake absolutely shines is in terms of install and adjustment! Super-easy install and the adjustment "screw" is readily accessible when you need it. It just makes sense to design brakes this way. Hate adjusting BB7s? Hate that horrible brake rub? Then these brakes are what you're looking for - totally worth it.

Was skeptical about these but did some research and found that most reviews were really positive so decided to try it. Also got new cables since the old ones were starting to fray. Were a breeze to install and except for an adapter that I had to get from a bike store mechanic the entire process was so easy I did it all myself. My ebike was almost dangerous before being that it weighs almost 70lbs. It’s manual discs just did not grip enough on steep hills and faded badly at the worst times. Now there is a positive solid feel that doesn’t fade and hopefully will not as I get used to it. Only thing left is to get extra pads. Oh yes, upgraded the front rotor to 180mm for better fade resistance and grip
