This ukulele is fun to play. It comes with a tuner that is easy to tune (it lights up green when the string is tuned).It is our couch instrument; we usually practice and play while commercials are muted, which is way more interesting for us than watching commercials.

Although I have read many positive reviews about the quality of the KA-15S (and Kala ukuleles in general) I may have gotten something of a lemon. The uke is an overall nicely made instrument, but a badly cut nut and a couple of questionable tuners, forced me to drop my ratings to three stars. Luckily, I was able to do the necessary work myself, so there was no added expense to make the ukulele more playable and keep it as an affordable knock-around instrument.

Love the sound of this uke. Being a soprano, it was a little difficult to get my middle aged fingers to squeeze together to make certain chords, but i have since purchased a tenor uke. Although I always find myself picking this one back up because of the sound. And now that I've gotten a lot of the chords down, it much easier than in the beginning. This would be a great beginner uke, especially for a smaller or younger individual. The quality and sound are great.
