8 parts for under 25. You know they are going to be very basic items. No exception here. The vests are basically pinnies. No pockets, barely even a closure. The wands are the usual quasi disposable lights. But at the price, they are perfect for what they do.

The first thing to know about this set is that it is a compromise on most fronts, that should do well for say a group of volunteers who need to help direct traffic. There are some elements to the set that mean it's probably not your choice for workday gear, but the set is quite adequate.VESTSThe best are extremely light weight; they are either a very fine mesh or a course fabric, depending on your point of view. They will be almost unnoticeable as a factor in the heat. Because of the lightness of the fabric they will most likely not stand up well to day-to-day work say in the construction industry.Interestingly, the sizing is such that they will probably fit a large variety of folks. I am tall (6'4") And currently heavy, and wear a 2XL or 3XL In most things for ideal comfort. Oddly, the vest fit perfectly fine in the chest and shoulders, and the length of the vest fit me like a normal person even though I'm pretty tall. Truth be told around the middle where I am whitest, the vest was not, and it came eight inches short of being able to be closed. Nothing a little diet and exercise won't cure, but the odd thing was the other parts fit well.To my mind that means on a smaller person they may be able to close the vest, but it will be a little bit large. They are probably best suited to someone that would wear a size called large, they would just be very long on the person. But for the purposes noted, handing to a bunch of different sized and shaped volunteers for a quick bout of parking lot duty or something similar these are probably a good choice.Separately, but of note, the reflective stripes do in fact reflect, but are not so shockingly reflective as some more heavy duty industrial vests. But again they are quite adequate for the purpose noted.WANDSLike the vest the wand is an interesting compromise probably not adequate for any serious traffic control, but certainly again useful for volunteers at the football game or evening church event to help direct traffic. The light up portion of the wand is about 10 inches long (The listing says 16 inches but overall they look more like about 20 inches, and the light up part of wand is about half of that.) Still, the wand we received was small enough to be easy to handle large enough to be seen. The light can be left on solid, flashing with long flashes, or flashing with many rapid flashes -- All controlled by sequential pushes of a single button. The wands are not outrageously bright, nor do they have a brightness setting. The word adequate keeps coming up, but they are perfectly adequate for most evening events, and if a high intensity or larger wand is needed, this obviously is not it.CAVEAT: In the continuing category of odd observations, these Wands actually run off of D cell batteries. I don't think I've run into anything that runs off of D cell batteries in a very long time and I questioned whether or not we even had any. We had two, so I was able to test the wand adequately. But if these are going to get a lot of heavy use I would consider rechargeable batteries, especially USB rechargeable batteries, even though they're much more expensive. Or if you use them once or twice a year stick with D-cells. Forget to remove those batteries if you put them in storage because they can leak and damage the product.Interestingly the D cells give the wand a certain heft because they are somewhat heavy. And it is worth noting that the handle has been smartly configured with slip resistant grip.FINAL CAVEAT: Make sure that the D cells are inserted in the correct direction and that the battery compartment is screwed down tightly. A loose battery compartment means when you wave the wand it will turn itself off and on at inappropriate momentsAll in all, for what it is, it's an excellent choice, so 5 stars. If you want something more robust, more rechargeable, more flexible, and more custom fitted, this may not be what you want.

The vests did what was intended but the vests are lower quality and doesn’t fit larger people.

We put the vests on and rushed out to our long, dark driveway to help our 85yo father out of the driveway after Thanksgiving. It was SO FUNNY! He yelled obscenities at us. He's notorious for running into stuff.
