About this item

  • Auto Electric Composter: Using methods of high-temperature drying, grinding, and cooling, the electric compost bin can transform kitchen waste into organic powder within 5 hours. You can use this organic powder as fertilizer for plants or dispose of it to reduce the volume and odor of the waste.
  • 90% Waste Reduction Volume:The electric composter can help reduce up to 90% of food waste, thus helping you avoid sending leftovers to the landfill. This minimizes your carbon footprint, saves on disposal costs (you no longer need to pay high food waste processing fees), and revitalizes your garden.
  • Easy To Use and Clean: With a 2.5-liter capacity and one-button operation, you can compost various types of kitchen waste simultaneously with just the press of a button. The countertop compost bin automatically adjusts the current and processing time based on the type and volume of waste. The bucket is made of cast aluminum, making it easy to clean. After removing the waste, you can add water and start the machine to clean it.
  • Odorless & Quiet Operation: The kitchen smart composter is equipped with an activated carbon filter that absorbs odors from kitchen waste, preventing unpleasant smells from permeating your home. The noise level of the machine is less than 50 decibels, ensuring it won't disturb your daily life.
  • Super Energy Efficient:The estimated annual electricity cost for the indoor composting bin is $15 (Power Usage: 0.8kWh for full, 0.15 x 0.8kWh x 10 x 12= 15 USD); Estimated energy cost based on a national average electricity cost of $0.15/KWh and a full 10 cup bin processes 10 times per month. This stat is only for reference.

I ordered this as we have been looking for better ways to compost. We do a lot with plants here year round, including grow tents and greenhouses, and run through a lot of compost because of it. This is a life changer as it gives us a steady stream of usable compost from what would otherwise take months. We have found the capacity to be quite adequate for a family of three and simply have it run overnight like a dishwasher. In the morning we have a batch of compost ready. No issues with unpacking or assembly. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. We did end up moving this to the front porch once because it was producing some smoke, but there wasn’t a smell so we weren’t too concerned. The noise, though noticeable, is like a far away vacuum. It’s not intrusive and easy to tone out. But overall, the functionality is great and even at $350, it’s a good value for what it can do.

This electric composter is easy to use and looks very clean on the counter. I appreciate that almost all food scraps can be dumped in, making composting cleaner and easier for my kitchen. If you live in the city and cannot have a compost pile, this is a fabulous idea for your kitchen waste. The cycle is fairly quick and very quiet. The output must be mixed with 10 parts soil before it is usable. To test this out, I sprinkled some directly onto my herb garden. The "finished" soil molded. In the future I will use this as a companion for my other composting methods.I am also curious to find out how this would work for making mushroom substrate.Overall, neat product that would be a super functional item to add to your kitchen.

For the first time, it is not familiar, but for a healthy life, the concept is very good, so we will stick to use it. Turn Food Waste to Fertilizer for Plants,It can also be used in the backyard to plant flowers and grass, two for a move.

Our waste service provider in our area finally started collecting food waste along with our yard waste to take to the compost. We were happy about this as we would not have to throw the food waste into the garbage any longer. The only downside of this was that food waste starts decomposing very fast and this when kept inside the kitchen starts smelling. We empty out our compost bin only every 3 to 4 days as we try to minimize waste. We finally got the opportunity to use this composter and ever since the first time, I can say that this has been such a game changer..NO MORE SMELLY WASTE IN OUR KITCHEN.This composter has been great. It- s sleek, and adds to the kitchen's aesthetics- Is simple to run with just ONE button to control its operation- Is quiet when it is running.- Eliminates food odor with its carbon filter inside the lid of itWe have run this appliance almost everyday since we opened and set it up. The recommended full level is 75% of bucket inside and it reduces the waste to less than 25% of the bucket when it is done. We set it to run either sometime during the say or even have left it running at night when we finish cleaning up the kitchen. We are throwing the composted waste into our kitchen's bin and now empty that out only every ~1.5 weeks. Once we start our garden, we will use this waste there.Overall, very satisfied with this appliance and wish we had it sooner!

This food waste disposer is a great choice if you want to minimize perishable waste volume and/or if you have a garden or place you can dispose of dehydrated scraps. I owned one very similar machine in the past and I loved it and used it all the time, but it broke, so I was very happy to get this machine so I can start processing my fruit and vegetable scraps again. First off--this machine has a sleek design and looks good on the counter; our first one needed to be hidden in the garage. Second, it does not produce a very strong aroma when processing due to the black carbon filtwer incorporated in the lid. Do not get me wrong, you still get some scent lingering, but it is not bad. Also it dramatically reduces the amount of trash we have and the trash can doesn't stink due to rotten vegetable peels. Compared to other brands I like that this device has an attached lid and requires only one hand to open it by pushing one button. It processes fruit and vegetables peels and egg shells very well, but has some trouble with more fibrous roots, like ginger, sometimes it wraps around the spinner, so you need to cut those stringy vegetables in smaller pieces. After the machine process the scraps I incorporate them in garden soil outside, because the real breakdown will start then, because the machine is just a grinder and dehydrator which helps to speed up the process, but if you put it in the indoor potting mix you will still have fruit flies coming and a rotten scent from it, that is why it is important to dig the substrate into the ground. It works well for me, because during the cold months I can still collect dry scraps and dig them in as soon as the soil is workable. Overall I am satisfied with the machine and process. After running 3-4 cycles, the machine would only enter the cleaning mode, where you add 2/5ths water and run it. The heat and rotation cleans dried material, and can be rinsed out. But it's sometimes unclear how to get it out of the cleaning mode and back to the grinding mode. Not sure if the indicator light is always working. Sometimes it grinds with no light on. But the end result is really good. A significant reduction in material and odor, an airy, dried out meal that can enrich and fertilize your soil, but can also be stored for a while before use.
