Best cage for mice I've found!

La jaula está muy bonita, el material se ve de buena calidad, los colores son vivos como en la foto. Armarla fue sencillo. Mi hámster es está contento, tiene mucho espacio para moverse, subir, bajar y correr. La ruedita para correr no hace mucho ruido, lo que suena más es la vibración de la jaula cuando corre. Me gustó mucho que tenga la cajita portátil para tener al hámster encerrado cuando limpias la caja o para transportarlo. Abrir la caja para limpiarla es fácil. Lo único que no me gustó tanto es que la botellita de agua no sea transparente para ver cuanta agua tiene o para poderla lavar bien. Fue una buena compra.

The first thing to know is, this cage is only good for dwarf hamsters and maybe robo hamsters. We were hoping to get a Syrian but got the cage first and assembled it, so had to go smaller. The tubes aren't big enough for bigger hamsters. The second thing to know is - this is a great cage to have if you want your whole city block to hear your hamster running on the wheel. Absolutely no way you could have this in a bedroom and sleep. I ended up spending money and buying a quieter wheel (also made by Kaytee - well played Kaytee) to alleviate this. Cleaning isn't too bad. The tubes don't really need cleaning so I empty the tray and clean, wipe out the platforms and the top critter box. Takes only a few minutes. Hamster seems to like it, runs through the tubes and climbs all over. Overall its not bad for the money if you want a small hamster and don't mind noise.

Tengo una pareja de hamsters americanos y están muy felices con el espacio, la jaula se puede expandir comprando más accesorios y el límite lo pones tú, las mascotas tienen espacio suficiente para desplazarse sin sentirse tan asfixiados, los colores son bonitos y armarla no fue tan complicado como otros compradores comentan, super producto a bajo costo, ya que las vi más caras en tiendas físicas, llegó antes de tiempo super rápido y efectivo... Me siento satisfecha

I was reluctant to purchase this one after reading some reviews. Since I could not find something else to my liking I ordered it anyway.The assembly is simple, pieces fit tightly together so you need to exercise a little bit your gentle touch to make sure you don't break anything but in the end everything is solid. Our hamster love it and quickly got use to it.As for the "ways the animal can get out", I have to say that it is nearly impossible. Everything fit perfectly and locks in fine. For those reviews stating that their little animal escaped too easily, guess what... they didn't lock the pieces together properly. All exits or "holes" that have a plug are closed tightly after you put the plug and twist until you here a click sound, meaning that the plug is locked in place.Best cage we had so far!

After very much research, my 10 year old daughter (who had saved her money for a hamster & all it needed), had decided along with my help at looking at different items absolutely loved this once it came in. It has everything you need for a first time setup and very easy to clean. The hamster (Snowball) is very happy with all it has (which is everything that was included) and the only thing we've had to purchase was the additional bedding, food and little toys she wanted for Snowball. We decided to purchase a larger water bottle as the one that came with it is very small. It has an area where you can place the hamster while cleaning it and you can move the items inside around to made it different over time. I don't even have to remind her to clean it nor does she ask for help. Another real upside is that as active and these little animals are, it is a very quiet habitat for all it has inside so there is no squeaking or loud noises that at times I check if the hamster is in there, LOL, and of course it is just in it's wheel or going thru the tubing. I love that you can add more to it if you want but if your not interested in expanding it I truly recommend this one as it has everything it needs and enough room so Snowball can play happily.

I'd like to introduce you all to Teddy and George, named after two great presidents and probably a lot more adorable than either :) Anyway, Teddy and George have had to be re-homed twice already :( but this product has the proud title of "their permanent home!" First, we started with a smaller cage, which was great size-wise, but the bars were too far apart to keep the little guys contained. So we tried an aquarium with a screen top. This worked wonderfully for keeping them contained, and there were zero escapes, but mice unfortunately stink a little bit, and I started thinking about how all that stench and lack of airflow was affecting them (and my daughter's bedroom) :(So, to Amazon I went, and I searched for a new place to give them. I saw this one at the local pet store, actually, but of course the price was not that great, so I took a chance and ordered it even though the reviews seem pretty mixed here. I wasn't sure if the bars were going to be small enough to prevent escapes, but I figured I could just return it (because Amazon is awesome) if they weren't.Well, Teddy and George are both ecstatic with their new home! It took them a short while to figure out the tubes, but they literally had never climbed anything other than wire before. They are both a lot more active with so many things to do in their cage (prior to this, in the aquarium, they had one wooden two story house and a saucer to run on) and so many places to climb. I think the only "downfall" if it can be called that is that it has made it slightly more cumbersome to try to encourage them to participate in cuddle time -- they like to run into the tubes and wait my hand out, lol -- but I think this can be avoided if I used the petting zone as a petting zone. They also like to bed down in the petting zone, so I like that feature.The cage includes a plug you can use to keep them contained in the petting zone. It will come in handy for cleaning the cage when the time comes. Also included are a food dish, an exercise wheel, and a water bottle. We did not use the water bottle because we had a nicer transparent one already. The exercise wheel is great and quiet, which I've learned is kind of a big deal (especially in the middle of the night when squeaky wheels can be really annoying!) And the food dish is solid, so no complaints there.We also had no problems putting this together, my 7-yr-old and I, because the instructions were exact and easy to follow. The mice, again, love it, so I would definitely recommend this for mice. It is pretty difficult trying to shop for the little critters when you're jumping in to ownership for the first time... At least, it was for me!I hope this review can help anyone else with mice trying to find the proper enclosure. I'll try to post a picture later, but so far all I have is a video of me adoring them and them comfortably grooming each other in the petting zone :) It's cute but doesn't really show how great the product is so I am not posting it!

I bought this cage as an add-on for my Syrian hamster. It arrived the day it said it would. The cage arrived with a few bent bars, however, they were not bent enough for a hamster, or even a mouse to escape, were not unsightly, and were not a big deal. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. Some reviewers said that the cage was hard to build and took a long time to build, but I did not have this problem, and was able to buld the cage in a short period of time. It is very spacious, and though some other reviewers said that the two platforms were not strong enough to support a hamster, I did not have this problem at all. My cage came with a different colored wheel than the picture shows. The water bottle it came with was totaly different from the picture, the only similarity is that they both are blue and they both hold water. The water bottle I got was smaller, the hamster would drink from standing on the ground versus standing on the platform, and the water bottle drips. Oh well. The colors of the cage are really neat. The wheel comes oiled and is silent. My Syrian did not have trouble going up the tubes. The platforms, however, pose a slight hazard if your pet is like mine and climbs up the bars or climbs to the platform and JUMPS off. There is a chance that your pet's feet might hit the platform. Overall, it was a great cage and I would recommend it to anyone.

We ordered one of these cages from Amazon after reading a review and seeing vids on youtube, so glad we did, the first one that arrived had a broken clip on the top which was obviously not due to delivery but Amazon made it a breeze to return and get a new one sent out to us in a day of reporting it, Well done Amazon!Well onto the review.... what a fabulous cage, needs some skill to put together but once you have done it once it is a breeze to do, some folks have said it is hard to clean this cage but me and my wife have found it no harder than the simple plastic cage that we got with our mouse....Just shoo your critters into the bedroom?petting area, lift it out and cap the opening with the provided stopper, put them to one side where they can watch you clean their house, clip the pipes of each side of the cage and unclip the two bottom clips the whole top of the cage lifts off in one piece allowing you to empty out the base and clean it down, the shelves just slot over the cage bars and remove simply to wash them down, we use a bucket with mild disinfectant in and separate all the pieces to wash, rinse and dry them, takes about 20 mins in total and the plastic is microantibacterial coated to provide better protection. they clip back together easily and if you expand the system with the critter trail expansion kits your mouse/hamster will love you forever lol.Also to note is that Amazon send out the latest version of this cage which has spring loaded catches on the doors and external water bottle and is much improved on the earlier version. :-)
