Kemeco best solar post light bright outdoor led lighting

WARM TIPS

  1. Before installation, assemble the product indoors and test its functionality before positioning it outside. We recommend turning on the power switch and covering the crystal sensor on the solar panel to simulate darkness when testing the lighting function.
  2. For first-time use, charge the lamp in direct sunlight with the ON/OFF switch in the OFF position for at least 24 hours. This allows the rechargeable batteries to reach their maximum capacity.
  3. Ensure the lamp is placed in a location where it can receive full sunlight. If placed in the shade, the batteries won’t charge fully, which will shorten the amount of time the lamp stays on.
  4. Avoid placing the solar lamp near other strong nighttime light sources, as this may cause the sensor to turn off prematurely.
  5. If the lamp will be left unused for an extended period, it's best to remove the batteries.
  6. Kemeco Solar Post Light is suitable for flat surfaces or 3-inch poles/posts.

Easy to assemble, and nice, bright light. This piece looks very nice, and was the perfect replacement to my previous pole light, which was wired and no longer working.

I had a Gamma Sonic fixture that was never bright enough (even with new batteries) and emitted a cold, white light. I bought the Kemeco to replace the Gamma Sonic since the Kemeco was advertised as having a warm light and the reviews were largely positive. Lo and behold, truth in advertising! The light is perfect. I didn't wake up in the early morning hours to see if it was still on, but I realize that solar lighting is limited in duration. All-in-all, a great product at a competitive price!

Lamp was easy to install. It's very nice and classy looking and very bright. We converted from an electric lamp to solar due to the electric one stopped working and we did not want to spend the money to pay an electrician and possibly having to tear up our yard and driveway. If you find yourself in this situation, I highly recommend this. We used the old pole and this fit perfectly. (Please ignore the Halloween decor in photo😂)

Very Good Product lighting is great and last long.We bought 3 pieces. Don't get me wrong, product itself is greatonly few disappointment which are are the two following point but can be fixed. Actually, the manufacturer should look at the pictures in order to understand the issues and improve their products.Issue #1:Four opening under the light, that let all insects attracted by light at night getting inside and making mess specially spiders with their net.I am actually working on that issue in order to fix that, cutting 4 thin pieces of acrylic and sticking them in order to block this openings and as well not affecting the reflection of the mirrors at the bottom of the light.Manufacturer Improvement #1Should be improved using thin clear acrylic or mosquito net.Issue #2: The mounting base is too thin and fragile, when mounting on a post. I was obliged to fully fill the base with quick cement, in order reinforce it, because when you screw the base on the surface the four holes in the base are getting crushed, you cannot really make a secure installation. SEE PICTURES ATTACHED FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO USE THE WAY I USE AND WHICH WAS SUCCESSFUL.Manufacturer Improvement #2Should make the base thicker or reinforced the four corners, where it get bolted on the surfaces.Generally, the product is good and I will possibly purchase another two pieces, now that I know what to do in order to fix those issues. We loved it and it give a nice looking to the flower square.

I'm glad I chose this light from the many, many options that were available. The light is very sturdy, made of metal and glass, and does not feel cheap at all. Other things I like about it:comes with a mounting base in case you don't want to pole mount itmounting base is appropriately sized to add a classy look as well as a stable platformuses led highly efficient led lights - they throw a lot of light without killing the batteriescannot tell it is an led light - looks traditional4 solar panels to provide a good chargeMost people want to know how bright it is. I have it mounted on the corner of my retaining wall for the purpose of illuminating the 4 stairs from the driveway to the front walk. This does a fine job at that. I would describe the output to be like a typical porch light with a 40-60 watt bulb. It won't blind you or lightup your whole yard but it gives plenty of light.Update: I ordered 2 of these lights in 2 separate orders. The 2nd one came with a defective battery. Fortunately I did not just stick it out in the sun for 24 hours before using, as recommended by the instructions. I removed the batteries and put them in my Litecore intelligent charger. One failed to ever take a charge and shows as 0 on my battery tester. If I had just let the sun do its thing without using my charger I would've never known one of the 3 batteries is dead - I would've just wondered why one of my lights was not as good as the other. Obviously, I replaced the defective one with a spare I had. Now I let them charge by sunlight, as designed.

I've had this light fixture for about 6 months now and I'm really liking it! It was simple to install and very simple to understand how to use it. It's solid and looks really nice. The only down side is that it is not very bright. It's fine for our use at the end of our driveway, and it definitely puts off a nice amount of light, but if you were looking for it to actually light a path or something, it might not be enough. But I am really pleased with it and it was a good solution for us where we didn't want to run a wire all the way down our driveway.

***UPDATE - 1 year in on this product and it still works the same as new. I have been pleased with it's overall performance. Definetely worth the 99 bucks. The only negative I have seen is the paint fades, its an off black/gray now. Of course that is expected since it sits in the sunlight all day. Very easy to repaint so not an issue.----------------------------------------------I had an old mercury vapor yard lamp that I wanted to replace but kept being drawn to solar options since the location has sun all day. Why pay for electricity if there is a good solar option? I did a ton of research, considered converting my current lamp to solar with panels, etc., but ended up finding this product. I like the look and it had decent reviews, so I figured for $99 why not give it a shot. The replacement of the old unit was a breeze, all I had to do was shut off the power and properly cap the wires and this lamp fit perfectly on the 3" pole. So far its performance has been great. It's automatic turning on at dusk, and stays bright through most of the night. It dims in brightness pre-dawn as it looses energy. The light will never be as bright as a powerful LED or other powered options but honestly I didn't want a blinding light anyway. It has plenty of power to light up our driveway and front of the house. It also has an off switch which is perfect for my family if we want to look at stars with the kids. The real measure on solar lights is longevity and how long this lasts, and only time will tell there. You can easily replace the batteries the solar panels charge, so if they die that is no problem. If this thing lasts 5+ years then it is a bargain!
