After a year of having these, they were a complete waste. The sound is terrible, distorted and fuzzy. I do not play them loud and listen to Jazz mostly, so they were never blown. One speaker completely delaminated. They are NOT marine duty speakers meant for a wet environment. Replaced these with a pair of kicker which have much better sound quality.

Purchased for replacing existing (broken grills) boat speakers. Kenwood grills much more robust. Easy install, hardware included (bag taped to protective cardboard on one of the speakers). Very pleased!

I bought these speakers long with the Kenwood P-WD250MRW 10-Inch Marine Subwoofer and Amplifier Package and the Kenwood KMR-M312BT Marine Receiver with Built in Bluetooth KMRM312BT . The cutout holes were slightly larger than the old Kenwood speakers I replaced, and had to drill new holes I purchased the Boss AMP kit for the amp/sub, but really only needed the stereo speaker wire and the long RCA cable. I mounted the subwoofer in the middle of the boat behind the captain's chair, so there was a nice hollow space on the other side of the speaker, and the head unit, speakers, amp/subwoofer all sound amazing. My only regret is that I didn't purchase a 2 channel amp, because I'd like to wire up another pair of speakers, and this amp is only one channel. As other reviews stated, the dash is not that bright, but other than that, I'm rating 5 stars, though, because product worked as intended and sounds amazing...these speakers sound great!

A nice upgrade to the old stock JVC speakers in my boat. Paired these up with a Pyle PLMRA400 400-Watt 4-Channel Waterproof Marine/Car Amplifier . Added just the right amount of "punch" needed to make my boat stereo system a little more potent than the stock system. Not mind blowing and you can overdrive the speakers, but for the money, a nice cheap upgrade to an otherwise weak stock stereo system.

By no means am I an audio guru but man what a noticeable difference installing these over the cheaper set we previously had. I thought previously it was a power output issue so I didn't bother buying a new set of expensive speakers. For $60 these were worth a shot and I am more than pleased. With a basic Kenwood headunit and no amp, the sound is pretty impressive for a $160 setup. Easy to install as well. Simply drill the holes using the supplied template, attach with some screws, plug in the 2 wires per speaker and you're done. They look good on our center console as well. Thanks Kenwood. Money well spent.
