Follow these steps on how to replace your Mercedes-Benz key fob battery with ease:

Locate the silver, square-shaped tab positioned at the bottom of the fob. Grip it firmly and pull downward until you feel or hear it release. This will remove the emergency key.
Once the emergency key is removed, examine the fob closely. You will notice a small gap where the key can be inserted.
Insert the key into the gap and gently push until the key cover begins to open.
Carefully remove the old battery from its compartment. Pay attention to the orientation of the battery to ensure you replace it correctly.
Take the new battery and insert it into the same compartment, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) sides align correctly with the markings inside.
Once the new battery is securely in place, gently close the key cover until it clicks shut and re-insert the emergency key to its original location.
