Works perfectly with my 2014 Chevy Malibu with key ignition. Had my local hardware store cut the key and programming it to the car was super easy. Just had to turn the original key to ON, wait for the security light to turn off and then turn the key to OFF again, then inserted the new key and turned it to ON and waited until the security light went off. That was it. The new key fob now unlocks/locks the doors and starts the car.

Looks and feels like the original. I had to return it because the old key does not fit and you cannot fold key into the fob. The slots for the key are slightly off so you are able to install the old key but it wont stay when you fold the key back into the fob. You have to use the uncut key that comes with the fob and have someone cut the key for an additional cost. Ace hardware does not cut blanks unless you purchase their blanks. And its $100 to get the key cut and their fob programmed.

What I like about this remote replacement is how easy it is to get it working on my car

First of all the programming of these remotes is pretty difficult. I did however get it done. The instructions were not very clear at all. I actually had to find different videos in order to program the remotes. They never did work correctly as my car did not detect them so I had to take both sets of keys at all times and leave one in the programming hole inside of my console in order for the car to start. After about four days, the remote that I was using from outside of the car went dead. Thank goodness the other one stayed inside of the remote hub inside of my console because I had to call OnStar in order to gain access to my vehicle. I wound up going to Chevrolet and buying a remote from them and having them program it and it works perfectly. I recommend not wasting your money on this product and spending the extra money to go to your dealer. By the time all of this was figured out of course my return to Amazon date had passed.

It was easy to set up. They both just worked after following the process. However, one of them quit working and I can't get it synced to my car again. But that's a pretty common thing to happen on these aftermarket fobs. I'll probably take it apart and drop the circuit board from my broken fob and put it in there.

It’s not super high quality but it gets the job done. Super easy to program, you must get it cut before programming. I had a spare key I literally melted the black plastic off and used it to insert into this key fob on some DIY shi. U need a small tool to remove the pin holding the blank key in, I had to makeshift my own pin because the groove doesn’t line up exactly to my original Chevy key and it wasn’t going in. Just get it cut if ur scared to try lol. Anyways u just put your working original key in the ignition turn it on for 5 seconds or 5 dings (u don’t have to crank it) and then quickly turn it off remove it and put in the new key turn it leave it for 5 sec and bam. Your key is programmed. But what sucks is that there’s no Chevy logo I didn’t realize. Would not have bought it if I knew but I’m using it for a spare anyway.
