This is an uncut High-Security laser side mill key with a new transponder 46 chip (New version) that is Compatible with: select GM vehicles.
This is a Keyless2Go transponder key that will work and function as a replacement for the original one.
A website link to free DIY programming instructions will be provided with every order. All you need to do is get this cut key at your local locksmith.
You must already have 1 original key in order to perform DIY programming.
If you do not have an original key then you will need to get this key programmed by an automotive locksmith or dealership.

I bought this for a 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 because it was suggested when I purchased a programmer for a new fob. Tried to do all the spare key hacks you see online to avoid going to a locksmith. So... I'm at the locksmith and he explains he couldn't use this key because the key I needed a chip in it. $125 later, this key is worthless. Just because it says it can be used might not be good info. Maybe the locksmith lied. I'll never know and it's done at least. Just annoyed at the waste of time.

This key works great. Be aware that the key has to be programmed requiring removal of battery cable and then programming followed by confirmation of program by Chevrolet vehicle which takes about 15 minutes. Total time for the locksmith is about half an hour and you must bring vehicle when the key is programmed.

Works for my 2015 Silverado. Great alternative to Dealer. Ace Hardware cut the key for $10. Extra PROGRAMMED backup key for less than $25. NICE.

INSTRUCTIONS BELOWAs my title states, I bought this key for my Silverado. Had the locksmith cut the key, and I was ready to program it. Looked up the QR code provided, and wouldn’t ya know it… their website had ZERO info on programming.After a few YouTube searches later, here’s the how to:- Get in the vehicle and close all doors- put the original key in the ignition and turn to the on position (engine still off) for 5 seconds- turn it off and remove the key- place the new key in and put in the on position again for 5 seconds- turn it off and remove the keyAfter that start the truck up.If you have no original key, there’s another YouTube video for that, but that’s on you to search for it.Hope this helps

Worked after getting a key smith to cut it however apparently my model vehicle requires more than the basic “switch on, insert original, insert replacement “ process. Luckily the key smith was able to program them with his scan tool. Obviously no GMC OEM logo but as a spare it’s cool.

I bought this key as a spare to keep hidden on my vehicle. Directions said it wasn't programmable. Locksmith wanted $85 dollars to program it. I found another locksmith to laser cut it for $30 and followed these instructions for my my 2017 GMC Canyon/Chevy Colorado. Works like a charm. You do need 2 working keys. to do this.1. Insert the first working key and turn it to the ON position. Wait ten seconds. Remove the key.2. Within 5 seconds insert the second working key and turn it to the ON position. Wait ten seconds. Remove the key.3. Within 5 seconds insert the key to be programmed and turn it to the ON position. Wait ten seconds. Turn the key to the OFF position.4. Turn the key to START to test.worked like a charm.
