I have been using this ND on and off for almost a year, I guess. I usually opt for solid NDs due to their consistency and quality. I use variable NDs in low stakes (dare I say) run and gun situations where optical quality isn't as much of a priority. As I said, I've been using this awhile and thought it was decent, suffering from the usual shortcomings of the nature of it being a variable (not solid) ND. Then I looked closer at the glass and saw what looks like a finger print smudge. Try as I might to clean it and wipe it off, I couldn't, realizing the smudge is on one of the inner/interior surfaces. I will keep using it, but noticing that defect was obviously a let down.

KF are reliably inexpensive and in general I prefer the limited stop versions of these variable NDs.

The quality of the variable ND filter ND32- ND512 is very good made from very good materials.I am impressed with the variable ND filter I was not expecting too much for this price BUT I am happy to have been proved wrong.Rotating the filter is very smooth and easy I can just about turn it with one finger it really is effortless. You do not have to rotate it much to go from ND32 to ND512 which I like a lot and great if you’re trying to do this quickly.Comes in a nice protective box not the normal square I have gotten with so many other filters/brands this is circular and see through so you know if the filter is in case without opening it or giving it a little rattle.I can confirm so far I have not had any phantom X showing up in my pictures or on the display when I have been changing the ND values this really did impress me and I was expecting to see this at this price range as I have with previous filters at this price and some which cost more than this.If I really had to find faults I have two which are minor and not that big of a deal for me the first is with the protective case I would have liked it to have some padding or something in the inside to keep it firmly in place to stop any movement. My second this is probably just me but I am not that keen on the range starting from ND32 I would have preferred from the lowest possible at a push from ND8.Also so far I have had no issues removing this filter from the lens which can be a problem with variable filtersOverall I am happy with this variable ND filter.

Como aficionado a la fotografía principiante me ha gustado bastante este filtro ND variable, me permite usar velocidades inferiores durante el día y no he observado que interfiera negativamente en mis fotos. El giro de la corona es muy suave pero no se va a mover solo, hay que aplicarle algo de fuerza. Los materiales se sienten de buena calidad y trae una caja circular para guardarlo cuando no lo usemos. Creo que por su precio ofrece bastante calidad.

Der Hersteller wirbt damit, dass es hier kein X-Pattern gibt. Also eine x förmige Verzeichnung, die im Bild entsteht, wenn man bestimmte ND Werte einstellt.Diese X-Pattern gibt es auch hier, und sie sind optisch gar nicht auszuschließen. Ein variabler ND Filter besteht im Prinzip aus zwei Polariasionsfiltern, die man gegeneinander bewegt und die somit eine variable Abschattung erreichen.Somit gibt es dann auch zwangsläufig diese X-Pattern.Damit kann ich aber gut leben, da diese nur in bestimmten Einstellungen vorkommen und man sie durch leichtes Weiter- oder Zurückdrehen auch weitestgehend eliminieren.Der Vorteil dieses Filters liegt ganz klar in der Variabilität, denn man muss eben nur einen Filter für viele Abschattungen mitnehmen. Profis werden die Nase rümpfen, aber als Amateuer, mit kleiner Fotoausrüstung bin ich begeistert von diesem Produkt.Der Filter ist sehr gut verarbeitet, passt sehr gut auf das Objektiv, so dass er fest hält aber man ihn auch wieder einfach entfernen kann.Die Drehung der Front zur Einstellung des ND Werts ist einfach aber ausreichend fest, so dass der eingestellte Wert nicht versehentlich verstellt wird.Das bzw die Gläser sind augenscheinlich ohne Fehler und Einschlüsse.Der Preis ist der Leistung angemessen.Ich kann vier gute Sterne vergeben.

My mind must have been playing tricks on me when this was ordered. Once I received the package and placed onto my 70-200, i realized how dark this beast can go. I honestly had no idea they made variable filters this dark but it is perfect for long exposures in broad daylight.The materials are solid and feel very good in your hands. I have recently come to enjoy using K&F products. They last and I have yet to encounter any issues. This variable filter is very easy to use. Simple screw it on the end of your lens and then rotate the bezel to your desired darkness. It feels like a game changer for landscape photography.

I've used K&F filters in the past and have been happy with them, and this one is no exception. If you're not familiar with the whys and hows of using ND filters, there are a number of good articles on the web. The filter is glass, not plastic. I'm not a pixel peeper, but to my eye, this filter produces no distortion or vignetting. It does enable the use of longer exposure times. I am happy with this purchase.

Esta es una de las mejores marcas de material fotográfico que vamos a entontrar a nivel medio y tiene productos de buena calidad.En este caso no es menos y tenemos un filtro que nos permite mucha versatilidad a la hora de poder tomar fotografías tanto de noche como de día gracias a la cantidad de luz que nos va a dejar pasar en cada momento.Esa cantidad de luz la controlaremos nosotros manualmente girándolo a izquierda o a derecha con un movimiento bastante fluido y firme, ideal para que no se mueva accidentalmente con algún roce que le demos sin querer.El material es bastante bueno y seguramente aguante algún que otro golpe que le demos tanto al marco como al propio cristal.Si eres aficcionado a la fotografía sin duda te va a gustar.

At stop 512 with 24mm lens, i have black corner...when a looking the blue sky. But for the price i recommend this ;)
