With 20 stops, it worked great protecting my camera. This was super dark and sometimes hard to find the sun, but this was my 1st time using a filter, and it help me get some great shots in the end! I played around with it before the eclipse and one time I did have problems unscrewing it and a little freak out moment.

Bought this for the upcoming solar eclipse. This filter came in a nice protective case and the overall quality of the filter is great. No problem with threading it onto a 70-200 Canon 2.8 lens and the cover snaps right on.Now this is a really dark filter. In fact unless you have a full on view of the sun without any obstructions you won’t be able to get a bright photo unless you are using a higher than 100 iso, low shutter speeds, or high aperture rates. Ideally you want to shoot F5 or F8 at 100 iso and 1/100+ shutter speeds but it’s quite dark at that setting. I did end up buying the cheaper 16.6 ND but it hasn’t come in yet. I would say that’s the better filter to go to so you can use higher shutter speeds or lower isos. Attached is an unedited photo along with a slightly edited version. This was on a clear day at high noon. With a little editing it was great but it’s still a bit darker than I wanted. If you can, get the 16.6 nd instead.

I got this solely to be able to take pictures of the sun, and the extremely rare instances my 10 stop doesnt apply. It is dark enough for both. Some reviewers are claiming it is too dark and that they are having to crank ISO up. Look at their settings and you can see that they have no idea what they are doing or talking about. F11-ISO 2500, 1/360 sec? Turn your ISO down, slow shutter down, use a tripod and image stability and you will get a "normal" picture. There is no reason to turn your ISO up, that is just dumb. ISO is compensatory for lack of light to increase shutter speed to a hand holdable level, or to compensate in scenes where movement, timing and lack of available light are an issue. It is not for compensating for lack of light while using a filter to block out what you then try to compensate for. The filter does exactly what it is supposed to do, block light. You want to compensate for blocked or lack of light, slow shutter speed down...THEN you wont have a grainy picture. The only quirk i have about the filter itself is that there are no "markings" on the side indicating what f-stop rating the filter is, just Nano-x marking. Other than that, it is exactly what it is supposed to be, a solar filter...

This filter is really dark as the 20 stops in the description say. I pointed my camera directly into the sun with this filter on and took some photos till the sun was gone. A couple to times. What a terrific lens filter. Just like all the K&F products I have bought.

I purchased this filter to view the recent solar eclipse. It worked fine and I got a lot of good pictures. The filter is not expensive, but I need to find another use for it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

This is a great filter for taking photos of the sun. I bought it for the US eclipse in 2024, and it worked as expected. Be advised, this filter is so dark, you can't really see anything other than the sun, but for taking photos of the sun, it's perfect.

I absolutely love this company for filters. They are excellent quality products. I bought this to photograph the sun. The only thing missing is....the sun 🤣
