I recently got this K & F Concept Kit for my Fujifilm X100V, and it's been a solid addition to my setup! The silver frame UV filter looks sleek on my camera, and the multi-coating helps reduce glare in brighter conditions. The metal square hood is stylish and practical, shielding the lens from unwanted light. The magnetic lens cap is surprisingly handy—it just snaps on and off without fuss, which is fantastic for quick shooting. The only downside is figuring out how everything fits together initially, but it's no big deal once you get the hang of it. Overall, the image quality and convenience make this kit well worth it if you want to protect your lens and up your photo game.

K&F Concepts is one of my favorite lens protection/filter brands out there. When they began releasing direct-fit filters for the X100 series, I had to get it. This product includes the retro-looking square hood that some people like to put on their X100. Personally, I think it adds a bit more bulk than its worth, especially considering this is my travel camera, so I only bring it with me if I think I'm going to need it. For covering the lens, I am still able to use the OEM lens caps on top of the filter, which I couldn't with my previous filter adapter ring. K&F has never disappointed me once, so I don't have much to say about the UV filter itself - it's doing its job of protecting lens while keeping the camera looking original. This is a must-have purchase as your first accessory for your X100 series camera.

This kit is probably one of the nicer ones out there that is completely tool-less to install! The color is pretty well matched and the square hood looks fantastic. While yes, this type of outwardly opening funnel shape square hood will block a good chunk of your optical viewfinder but it's not an issue with the EVF. Thanks to the hood being fixed with a tightening screw on the side like a lot of classic camera hoods, it's easy to remove whenever you do want to. The lens cap is a friction fit but it fits nicely and quietly. The lens filter is also really nice. It's a Nano-X filter which is the higher end ones from K&F which has excellent optical qualities. I don't have magnetic filters of this size to test with it but, owning some other K&F magnetic filters for different cameras/lenses I know they work pretty effectively and do some great convenience in workflow. Despite being a magnetic filter, still having the filters to use regular 52mm filters is also really great since some magnetic filters forgo the screw-on filter compatibility.Overall, I really do enjoy this little kit and the only real downside is how the camera is more bulky afterwards, but it does a great job all in all at eliminating at least some directional light sources from the lens.

I’ve got to say, the build quality is pretty solid. The metal lens hood feels sturdy and definitely adds that extra layer of protection I was looking for, both from scratches and stray light. I also love that it matches my camera’s colour (I have the silver version), so it blends in nicely, unlike some other brands that just don’t look right.I really like the included UV filter—it’s a nice bonus, and the multi-coated glass does a solid job at cutting down reflections and keeping dust and water off the lens. Plus, the magnetic design for stacking filters is super convenient! If you’re into using extra filters, it makes swapping them out so much easier. One thing I love is that this kit works with all the Fuji X100 models, which is super handy if you happen to own more than one. But just a heads up—the hood does block the optical viewfinder a little and can cast a shadow on the built-in flash. It’s not a big deal for me, but it’s definitely something to keep in mind if you use those features a lot.Getting the hood lined up just right can be a bit tricky. The thumbscrew they use to secure it feels a little long and awkward, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it bends if you’re not careful. The only real downside for me is that the UV filter doesn’t work with other standard filters unless they’re part of the K&F magnetic system. So if you already have a bunch of filters, you might feel a bit restricted. Oh, and you do have to remove the original mounting ring from the camera to install it, which is a bit of a hassle, but nothing too crazy.Overall, despite a couple of small annoyances, this kit totally does its job—keeping your lens safe and making your images pop when it’s super bright out. It’s not flawless, but honestly, it’s a solid pick for folks with a Fuji X100, especially for the price. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to throw some handy accessories into their gear!

I got this for my son (who is the x100 owner in the family). After putting it on and walking around with it for a day he just said, "This thing is sweet." High praise for a 22-y-o.It is, as he described, 'a glorified lens cap,' but the shroud stays out of the way of the image and does shield some stray light at angles where you crop out the sun from the viewfinder. Then you'll still get lens flares of course. He is excited to get the matching ND set of magnetic filters and says this still allows screw-on filters. He works outdoors, so something durable to keep on his camera that will allow him to swap filters with his gloves on is pretty important, so he is really loving it and excited to add more magnetic filters. This just has a UV filter which will benefit him plenty at elevation and shooting in snowy conditions. Great product. Good price for this brand and quality.

There are many filter and lens hood accessories for X100VI. But not all of them are as well made as this one (trust me, I have seen many, also for the older X100 models). I have consistently excellent experience with the K&F Nano-X UV filters for normal lenses (with screw mounts), so as far as the quality of the glass and antireflex coating in this filter goes, I can already tell that there will be no negative effect on the photos or coating scratches/imperfections anytime soon. And as for the rest, the X100-unique filter holder ring, and hood, it's also very well crafted. The attention to details is perfect, and the quality of the surface finish is also gorgeous. I only dislike that this isn't the most compact type of lens hood, but you probably can't have everything, right? It's easy for me to recommend this set if you want to give your X100 camera the best possible protection.

I ordered the kit thatcomes with the required adaptor integrated with a UV filter plus the lens hood with magnetic lens cap. The first photo shows the adaptor/filter and hood whitout lens cap.You can use the filter without the lens cap. I found no discernable difference in image quality when shooting with the filter. The second photo shows the adaptor with integrated UV filter next to an OEM adaptor fitted with a 49 mm UV filter. They are about the same size. The difference is that the 49 mm filter fitted on the OEM adaptor has a standard thread so, should you wish, you can easily add a variety of filters or hoods. If you desire, add the lens hood. It screws into the adaptor. I love the look of the hood and cap. It works well, allhtough it does seem to block the viewfinder a bit. The hood screws on to the adaptor/filter. As a result, you need to use the protruding set-screw to maintain the desired hood orientation. This creates two problem. First, you need to tighten the set-screw enough to keep the hood aligned. The set-screw has a flat metallic surface that contacts the threads of the adaptor/filter. The means a possibility of thread damage. Second, the long set-screw protruces about 100 mm from the surface of the hood. This presents the possibility of getting caught on clothing, backpack straps or other surfaces.Lastly, the system uses an unorthodox threading system. To accomodate the set-screw, the camera adaptor/filter has a male thread. It seems to be 55 mm and according to the manufacturer can be used with an appropriate adaptor and their magnetic filters or hood. The last photo shows a comparison between the kit and TCL-X100II Teleconversion Lens. The lens uses 67 mm accessories. The K&F kit measures 65 mm square. The K&F kit is significantly shorter. In summary, I love the look and am very happy with performance. I use it for general and travel photography when I have limited space and don't want a to carry too many gadgets. However, I try to be very careful not to damage my expensive camera, Further, I leave the kit home when I want flexibility.UPDATE - October 11, 2024I liked ths system so much I decided to purchase the K&F Concept Magnetic Circular Polarizers Filter (Magnetic Polarizing Filter + Magnetic Basic Ring + Lens Cap) with 28 Multi-Layer Coatings CPL Filter for Camera Lens (Nano-X Series). The MCUV Protection Filter Kit description states "The front of the uv filter adopts a magnetic + thread design, which allow 52mm magnetic filter / lens cap or screw-in filter to be installed on it. It provide more option for your creativity." The photos associated with the listing on Amazon.com also show 52 mm attachments. Foolishly, I ignored the measurements I made and ordered the 52 mm version of the CPL filter. Bad decision, as suspected, it did not fit. I will contact K&F Concept to confirm the 55 mm version of the CPL filter is the correct one to order.
