A few people are saying the pole doesn't fit. The problem is that the plastic section with the pivot point as been inserted upside down. If you study the images you can see it. You need removal the section from the pole (i did this by heating it slightly and giving it a tug) and turning it over. Now the correct section fits into the base of the table perfectly and has a grove to stop it spinning. 5 minute fix and now a nice little boat table. (The photo is after i have turned the section)

Having read the reviews, I thought this may be junk, but it turned out really well. My personal belief is that the pole was actually upside down when it arrived assembled, so I switched it around and added to stainless screws to the mount and now it's as safe as houses. I'd definitely buy it again.

This bait table is super lightweight compared to the thick cutting board style, this one is 1 molded piece, thin plastic. The pole mount spins depending on the angle of the rod holder, if I use this in the 0 degree holder it is fine, but swings around in the angled holders. I also have to tie it down with rope to keep it from swinging or flying away. Those annoyances aside, it works well as a cutting table, easy to install in the holders and easy to stow since it is so compact. Easy to clean since it is all plastic, and aluminum pole. I use this table frequently because of its compact size and ease of storage, it's nice to have a big giant heavy duty one, but just I don't have room on board, so this one takes care of those duties. This one does the job exceptionally well after overcoming those small problems. Great product. A+

This bait cutting table looked pretty promising from the listing - but it looks like the design was not checked before production and sales. The shaft doesn’t fit properly into the base of the table as someone else mentioned. It will fit fine if you cut off the top of the shaft so it doesn’t protrude excessively. It is not a Scotty mount, it just resembles one - does not fit. The deck hub portion also doesn’t seem to be a standard size. With the shaft shortening, I can fasten it using conduit straps to a flat surface and use this table. It works alright. Considering the legwork to perform these modifications before having a working solution, I would look elsewhere unless you can get this at a price worth it to you.
