The valves connect the hot and cold water supply piping to the flexible water supply hoses feeding the washing machine. They prevent the washing machine hoses from bursting preventing water damage in the home. This product consists of a brass body construction, and a single lever to control shutoff of both hot and cold water supplies.

Bought a 52 yr old house that had these design valve in laundry. Old valve leaked, did not shut off fully. The front half of new valve with new O rings fit perfect on OEM valve. Quick fix that saved this Old guy some work. Tracking shows this item did Not arrive? Item did Arrive , all is well. Thanks

It arrived quickly and is reasonably priced. I like the it is fully serviceable and accurately made so much to the point I was able to just swap out the top half of the casting with all the working parts for the old one 35 years old still in place!! No soldering was needed!! It works as it should with no dripping from valve. I would definitely purchase again but know I will not have too, I expect this one will last as long if not longer than than last one.

Installed and no leaks, but only after replacing the screws. Wrong screws used. Replaced with 5/16-18 x 3/4 stainless button head from hardware store. The head of the screws used is too big and does not seat on the machined surface of the faucet. The machined surface of the faucet where the slotted screw's head seats should have been a bit larger diameter. Note that to install these MUST be disassembled. Then solder the copper pipe on, or in my case a PEX adapter.

This was a drop-in replacement for an unknown model Oatey likely from around 2001 that looked similar. I managed to replace the top portion and simply discarded the pipe fittings.The new Oatey shutoffs appear to have a tab that fits over a nut below the top fitting. From other posts, it appears that may not fit precisely with the old models. Thus, I decided to try this piece and it worked perfectly.The new o-rings fit well. The piece is solid and appears well built. For anyone looking to do the same replacement highly recommended.
