Unit is great. Works as expected. Easy set up. Looks great. Description says, "Fits 3 1/2 in bay". Unit I got fits 5 1/2 in Bay. Not a problem as I have room but description should be corrected.

Was looking for an external solution to control the fans on a water cooling project. I was previously using a pci fan controller with one knob for 6 fans and it wasn’t working that great… this on the other hand has been perfect for controlling them along with a pump. Just really amazed that you cannot switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, like the reservoir I’m using which uses Celsius. Would also have liked longer cables, but I realize this is a rather unique use case.

Only gave 4 stars because i swear the screws included are far too large for the mount. Ended up using some smaller ones i had. But overall the build quality seems to be excellent, and everything works and it looks fantastic in my fractal designs case. The temperature probes seems to also be pretty accurate as well and everything was easy to figure out.

When it arrived in the nice packaging, I got excited, because I thought I got the deal of the century. I opened it up with great anticipation to install it. Once out of the package for inspection, I became worried it wasn't going to work due to the condition of the knobs. The over all quality of the product was impressive for what I had paid, but it all came back to the knobs. Before I installed it, I looked it over again and decided to go ahead with the install. Installation is simple, but the cable routing is a pain if your looking for a clean install, so it takes time. I finished the install and fired up the PC, to my amazement it powered up and looked like it was going to work. Everything worked as it was described to, but the knobs are junk. The knobs feel like they are going to fall off as you turn them. The knobs are not accurate at all. I'm controlling 4 fans with it and when RPM's are the same, the knobs are all over the place. If your just looking to put a fan controller in to quiet down your fans, this will work great, at sale price. This product is not for someone who wants precise control over temperatures and fan speed. I am going to look for something better and more precise.

Just got this in and installed it in minutes. I needed a way to turn down my fans for work from home call center noise levels and this does the job splendidly. My case has 7 fans besides the CPU fan but only has 4 headers, of which only 2 are 4-pin. All of my fans in the case were hooked straight up to Molex and so were running at 100% all of the time, very loudly. I had bought brand new "silent" 3-pin fans and some splitters to get them powered and they continued to be extremely loud. I had hoped I could use voltage to software tweak the RPM, but the mobo only recognizes 2 of the 4 headers (the 4-pin ones) and only controls speed via PWM, which the new fans can't handle. Then I noticed the splitters are 4-pin dockable but only wired for 3 pins. I was considering getting a 4-pin fan hub and new splitters and new fans that are PWM compatible, then returning the other equipment but this is just so much more cost efficient, and it works great so far! I wasn't even looking for temperature probes, but now I've got my case monitored at all times by a readout on the front and when I go to punch on I can just spin the dials until I don't hear my fans anymore, it beats opening up the rig to disconnect them, then needing to remember to reconnect them when I get ready to game.

The knobs on this thing do not feel decent quality, the way they turn or feel makes it seem as if it's held into the device by a string. Which could explain why for some reason the malfunction of the 4th fan control knob. Which for whatever reason sometimes decides to ramp the fan connected to it to max without any adjustment of the knob or increase in temperature, and it's not calibrated properly at all. With only a smidgen turned on, the fan is already ramped to over 50% of the connected fans max roms. The other 3 controllers are also horribly calibrated and at 25-33% turn on the dial the fans are already ramped to 50-66% of the connected fans max rpms. I guess shoddy construction and calibration is to be expected of a $20 fan controller with this many features. Also note to any Corsair Carbide 300R case owners this thing only slots in properly after putting on the front panel of the car due to one side of this thing having a small piece of the LCD screen stick out so it cant snugly fit inside the bay itself. So in order to install you have to have the front panel on first, which leads to the horrible prospect of you having to carefully remove the fan controller each time you want to take off the front panel and clean the front fans. Absolutely a pain.

It is good for my purpose it only feeds enough power to power the fans so it doesn't overclock them more then their rates speeds two of the fans it doesn't say their rpm for which is whatever it still works to control them knobs feel okay overall made with mostly plastic but it's still good for the price lcd display is pretty good looking and makes my computer stand out like I wanted
