What can I say K&N rocks been using their productsFor 40 years. This intake made huge difference in low end torque and high end performance. An engine needs to breathe.

As the title suggests, I used this in my 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport which has the 2.4L engine. The product isn't specifically made for my version but it worked perfectly fine. The engine sounds great!I had to use only 3 out of the 4 heat shield mounts but it has been stable. I was able to get everything installed in about 2 hours with no prior knowledge. It could have been assembled quicker but I watched tutorials while installing. The directions were a bit unclear at times.I would definitely recommend this!

i was just about done putting the intake and it was already night time it got late because the ups guy got here at 5ish. So im getting juiced up and ready to ride my car only to find out i was missing part number (087121) silicone hose i was upset cause its already 8 my wife gets off work at 830 and theres no time to disassemble and put the original part. You could just imagine how pist i was for not making sure it came with everything before i started. Thats why i went with 3 stars i had to go buy one from autozone when i shouldnt have had too but oh well . I hope i dont forget to check next time before starting anything and i advise yall to do the same.

Took a couple weeks to get use to the noise of it, it's quiet loud, wouldn't recommend if you were not expecting dramatic change in sound. Performance seems the same maybe another 2 mpg on 1k road trip. Installed within 30 min on 14 sonata with proper tools and shop knowledge.

After being a K&N fan for years, I was disappointed by both the fit and function of this intake kit for my 2014 Kia Optima. The installation instructions were vague (especially regarding use of hardware) and a few steps were out of order. The biggest problem was that it just didn't quite fit, like everything was just slightly off. I was honestly left wondering if they ever test-fit this kit on anything after designing it.For instance, the rear of the K&N heat shield/housing had to be bent quite a bit to keep it from contacting the brake master cylinder reservoir, and I had to bend the filter bracket itself to keep the filter from contacting it as well. Also, they instruct you to reinstall the OEM air scoop housing, but the back end of it has to be wedged in between the battery and the new K&N intake tube. There were other little problems as well, such as the need for a 45-degree pipe fitting (not included...) to keep one of the vacuum hoses from kinking, and the gasketing that they give you for the top edges of the heat shield isn't flexible enough to follow the contours without getting bunched up.This $300 kit ends up looking like a sloppy hack job someone cobbled together for $50. The space underhood on a modern car is too precisely laid out for a kit that's "close enough". K&N should be ashamed of themselves for letting these problems make it past the engineering stage and into production.Once I finally finished the installation and had gotten everything tweaked and reduced the unnecessary contact as best as possible, I discovered that the sounds made by this kit are unpleasant about 80% of the time. At higher RPM (3500+) at wide open throttle, it sounds GREAT. Under normal driving conditions, it's obnoxiously loud at lower RPM. Not the cool kind of loud, or a nice rumble, but rather it sounds like there's a crappy car next to you that's lost its entire exhaust system and is stuck at high idle.I removed this kit from my car after two days and will be returning it to Amazon. It's been a disappointment at every step of the way (except for Amazon's part in it. They've been awesome.)To sum it up, this kit isn't worth the time, money or effort. If you have a Sonata or Optima with the 2.4 liter like I do and you wish it was faster or sportier, I suggest doing what I'm going to do: take the money you'd spend on this kit and save it towards a sportier, better, faster car. Admit it. You should've gotten the 2.0 turbo model...

Adds a deeper sound to engine when you open the throttle. Great addition to car. Instructions are lame but figured it out on my own.

Nice product. Not too difficult to install. Adds a little rumble to the engine, but it is not obnoxious or too loud.

I like it. It installed in less than two hours from garage door up to driving it away. It was missing (1) 1/2" hose clamp but I had a few in the garage. It gives me a little more pep when hitting the gas and it has a nice beefy sound under the hood. I read several online reviews both here and on the Hyundai Sonata forums. I knew it was not going to make it a race car but after 2 yrs of ownership, it was nice to have a small, but noticeable, lift in acceleration (about 7-10 HP) and some rumble. I'd give it 5 starts if the clam was not missing and if they ad would have clearly stated that you would need a cone condom if you are at risk of getting the filter wet.
