I wanted another set of 10" cobra pliers. The chrome finish is really nice on set I received. Left some photos to compare to different finish and to compare to the 180s and 300s next the the 250s.

Excellent quality pliers. Adjustable is precise and easy. They will last many years. They are well worth the extra money.

I love these tools! I was a big fan of Channel-Locks before but I hate how they rust so fast. I’m a plumber and I hate having the stigma of being unsanitary. So I started making more money and re-invested in stainless steel and chrome plated tools. These pliers have some seriously sharp teeth and gripping power. The tiny teeth on the end even interlock when fully closed. There is a nice symmetry to the tool as well. Channel-Locks twist and the handles cross. These do not. I have the chrome plated version for sanitary reasons and to prevent rust. I usually stray away from rapid lock and quick change mechanisms because they get dirty and rust then are difficult to adjust. The “spring” in these is a flat piece of metal like a belt clip on a knife. They aren’t overly complicated and have enough tolerance to clean out sand, mud and caulk and what not. I try to avoid using pliers as much as possible to prevent teeth marks. These pliers are sharp and will leave bite marks. They are very solid and are thin, so if something like a brass nipple is stuck they may gouge the material and scratch into it. I used them to remove a stripped T50 Torx Round head bolt on the armrest in my work truck when nothing else would. I lost a pair and that is when it stings since they are 3 times the price of Channel-Locks. If I could change anything about the tool, I would like the chrome to be fully polished.

I bought these for their rust resistance, to keep in the kitchen, for those awful food cans with pull tabs that are impossible to pull off with one finger. I use them to grab the tab (after its already punctured the seal, and just use the curve of the pliers to simply and effortlessly roll the lid off the can. They are awesome for this purpose.
