They cut and tie rebar wire perfectly and are a reasonable price compared to iron worker linesman’s. These are very good for what I wanted and for what the are designed for. They will not cut thick nails because they are not designed for it so I’m not sure why people are trying to use them for this and then writing bad reviews.

I own a lot of tools, including lots of pliers. I have owned all kinds of interesting brands. Knipex is the very best you can buy. Gearwrench is quite good, but doesn't compare; neither does Irwin, Channellock, Icon, Kobalt, Crescent... Not saying that their stuff is bad, it's not... Knipex is just a little better. The only pliers I have found the are better than Knipex are the famous Malco Eagle Grips. The Knipex vise grips are awesome (I have two pair), but the Malco Eagle Grips are in a league of their own (and come with the appropriate price tag!)Yes, Knipex is expensive - no doubt. They are worth every penny. If you are a professional craftsman, a DIY, or anything in-between: Spend the extra money for Knipex, you will never regret it.

Very well-made, slightly recessed blades, perfect for leather working, snipping 1/8" copper rivets. Well-packaged. $21 and worth every penny.

Amazing build quality and leverage. Almost as good as small, compound action bolt cutters. These can do it all, from cutting nearly flush, to gripping to twist wire, to crimping PEX and other compression band fittings.

Knipex means QUALITY! Perfect heat treating and geometry. After I purchased these, I bought a really worn pair of Knipex nippers at a flea market, the plastic on the handles were missing, but they still closed perfectly and the edges were still sharp...truly amazing quality! You won't see that in any "made in china" pliers! If you need these then don't hem and haw just buy them already! You'll be passing them to your grand kids!
