8 inch DPNs of this quality are indeed a rare find! To have them in sizes 4 to 8 (5 needles each) is crazy wonderful! They have just a mini-micro bit of cling to the needles, and while the points are "fine and sharp," fingertips will remain intact!

They are sturdy and beautiful. Warm to the touch, with a nice plastic case. Great quality. Some of the other overseas sets have little splinters that catch on the yarn- these do not! They are perfect. I also like having each size be a different color. Makes it easier to keep them organized.

These needles have great tips. They are also nice and smooth, and very comfortable to knit with.

Love how they are on the hands. Yarn slides over them and does not catch. Great Product!!

I love these needles and how they feel as you are knitting. So smooth without slipping, and just the right amount of point. No clunking or clicking noises like metal needles. I have the circular set too. I also experienced amazing after purchase customer service! Highly recommend.

This is as good as Double Pointed Needles get. Not slippery like metal, not sticky like bamboo... just the perfect middle.

I was wary because of some of the negative reviews but finally caved and they exceeded my expectations. Thinner DPNs can snap and break if you grip too hard but these are sturdy and coated with a very nice thick coating making an easy knitting experience. I’ve tried the 0s and 1s and they are amazing. I usually prefer bamboo but these are even sturdier! The designs are even more beautiful than the photos.Personally I find DPNs easier on the hands and fingers tho slightly slower and trickier. Still I think DPNs are a must have for sock knitters and keep them on hand even when knitting with chorded needles.I like wood or bamboo needles over stainless steal cuz believe it or not it’s sturdier (the steel bends !! I know it seems like it would be the other way around). It’s lighter and cooler from the heat of the hands. I work faster with wood than steel.I’m so excited about these needles! they’re my new favorite out of everything I own! Would definitely recommend and would buy from them again.

I am so disappointed as two needles were broken on arrival, one has the point broken off and the other came in half as I lifted it out of the case. Unfortunately they are no longer available so I'm having to decide whether to keep them anyway as they are my favourite needles for knitting baby socks. Knit picks DP's are no longer available anywhere else in the UK and the other brands don't do the perfect 5inch length :-(

This is a beautiful and cute set of DPNs. I bought it for the fact that it's made of wood and yarn will not slip off easily since I'm a new sock knitter. The set is beautiful due to the various colours of the wood. Cute because the size is so short and tiny. The smaller size DPNs do feel fragile though. Like satay sticks. I have yet to try knitting with the needles. Guess I'll have to be extra careful about the strength & tension I use when knitting with these smaller needles. The needle tips are not as sharp as my Addi Flexi Tips and Knitter's Pride Karbonz but should be fine if I'm not doing lace knitting.

I originally wrote a favorable review because I have bought this brand before but I was extremely disappointed when the first time I used them one broke while making a pair of socks. I was not applying pressure or anything. I have the shorter version of this brand and it has held up well. Could be that the longer ones are not very strong. Since there are six of each size I can still work with them at least until another one breaks. I like the wood but I will get metal the next time
