The mesh itself is a good quality and very soft/malleable, my issue is the way it was secured, they cut the end and tied it into itself so some of the end is a bit useless.

I ordered this because we have a rodent issue. Mice have figured out how to get through our drier vents (we have two laundry areas and they have both been breached by the little critters.) We also have found a hole in the garage where mice have been getting through, and them are sneaking into the main house under the entry door that doesn't fit snugly to the floor.Hubby has been using sticky traps (I HATE THEM), snap traps (don't really care for them) and bait boxes (SUPER HATE THEM because we have pets)We still had mice getting into the house. This copper wire mesh has been shoved in all the little spaces we knew the mice were using and I'm very happy to announce that we haven't seen a mouse in the house (or a trap) in three weeks. It's been deep winter, a time when mice are most likely to get into our warm home. So, I'm thrilled that this product is working so well.

The Maishi Copper knitted Mesh roll is a must have for invading rodents. I’ve compared this roll to the professional quality copper roll that I have in my possession and it’s practically the same product. I also tested it with a magnet to ensure it was copper. In the past, I utilized steel wool to cover the various small holes around the radiator bases or other areas in my home. To my surprise, after a few months I’ve noticed that those holes were re-opened. I naturally thought that I missed it but I had an exterminator inspect my property and he mentioned, rodents are able to push or pull the steel wool out of the way. The best alternative is to put down copper knitted mesh because rodents have a tendency to chew on it and it disrupts their internal digestive system. They are only able to take a few strands which keeps the rest in place. He also advised to add “Liquid Nails high temperature” caulking to keep it tightly in place if I have any concerns. The Maishi Copper Mesh is a high quality product that should be handled with gloves and sharp scissors for easy execution.

This review is for Flexible & Porous Copper Knitted Mesh Roll – 5" x 32ft, 4.5x7.5/in for Pest, Rodent, and Snail Control, EMI/RFI Shielding, ArtworksThis is an apparently pure copper mesh product that measures about 5" wide when pressed flat. It is actually a continuous tube of copper mesh with about a 3.1 inch diameter. The wire measures abou 0.007" diameter. Because it is soft, it easily formed into Irregular openings.I am using this to prevent entry of rodents and similar pests around some piping and duct work.It might also be useful for protecting plants, but copper is toxic to some plants and there may be effects as the copper weathers and copper oxides get into the soil. For short term use on young plants it will probably be very effective. It will also serve to reduce RF energy for HF frequencies. Because of the mesh size, it will not effectively block UHF frequencies or higher.I would expect that this might be very effective as an anode for electrical copper plating due to its large surface area and the ability to circulate the solution through the mesh.I think we will find many uses for this product. Good value.

I am pleased to utilize this roll of copper mesh for a rodent deterrent. It is the perfect size for working into holes or any small spaces where rodents try to enter. I have been conducting my own private vigilant war with several mice who apparently took up residence in my garage. I am, of course, disturbed by the mere notion of this; however, what is doubly troubling is that we have a door leading into the basement from the garage, and another leading into the main floor of the house. Both of these doors leading into the house are my primary concerns.I do not currently have any actual openings that I can see, other than the tiny space that permits one to open the doors at the bottommost part, and that is where I am placing this copper mesh. I am going to put it on the garage side of the doors just 1/8 inch shy of the cement. In other words, it will provide added protection against mice gaining entrance to our living area of the house. Why is copper so useful in this regard? One can also utilize steel wool to fill in any possible holes that mice could potentially enter through; however, copper possesses some rather unique properties that make it even more suited to the job.Copper is a natural repellent to rodents, as they are highly sensitive to its odor and unique taste. Both the odor and taste make it an excellent deterrent for rodents of any size.Copper mesh is also easy to work with. It is best to take the copper mesh and work it into any holes or corners that could potentially allow entrance by mice by crumpling it and utilizing a sturdy stick or screwdriver to wedge it into those areas. If you wish to do it differently and guard the entire door bottom, as I am, you can simply attach it to the outer (mouse-side) of the door and bend it about one-eighth inch from the bottom of the floor you are protecting against.Another excellent use for this product is to place a small piece of the mesh around the Hosta plants that you wish to protect during the summer. I recommend using tin snips to cut no more than one-half inch from the bottom-most portion of the roll, then placing the strips around each individual Hosta plant, or if practical, surrounding the entire grouping of plants with such a small piece but again, sufficient to protect the entire area from slugs and snails. Slugs are repelled by copper just like rodents. Cutting the strip of copper in this manner allows you to get many cuttings from the roll, as you are using only a minimal amount of wire to encircle each Hosta plant. Slugs and snails actually receive a mild electric shock from exposure to copper, making it a tremendous deterrent. For these reasons, copper mesh of this type is an excellent product to have on hand. I highly recommend it!
