. The Main Purpose of these Nets is to slow down the chewing capacity of your horses, goats etc. These Nets are designed to help in slowing down the eating capacity and NOT to be acting like an INDESTRUCTIBLE material. With time to time there might be small holes/openings which can be easily fixed by the REPAIR KIT. At the end of the day these are NETS and not HEAVY METALLIC OBJECTS, so minor holes would be a possibility. There is no way to stop the nets from getting chewed. ** PRECAUTION:- Animals with BOOTS, Blankets and Break-Away-Halters should not be feeded via Slowfeed Haynets. There are chances of their Metal parts getting stuck with the nets. If they are being fed upon by these nets then extra precaution should be taken by the owner/grazer and do keep a check on the horses/animal. ***** The Netting is CUT IN A RECTANGULAR SECTION and it GOES OVER the ROUND BALE. This RECTANGULAR SECTION is WIDE and LONGER ENOUGH to FIT the Round Bale of 6x6.

It was a great idea but only worked for a while. It tore easily while I was trying to put in on the second bale

We bought this for a hay roll when we went out of town for Christmas. We were gone 5 days and the horses managed to make pretty large holes in that amount of time. As of now, we are still using it and it's on its 3rd use. Was hoping it lasted for more uses.

Used for two weeks with only two horses and it is absolutely in shreds. Does not last at all.

If I could give this hay net a 0 star I absolutely would as my horse almost died because of this hay net!!I was only able to use it ONE time before my horse literally ATE pieces of the net which in turn caused him to colic within 6 hours of putting the hay out with this net on it! I ended up having to have colic surgery done on my horse all because the material on this hay bag was so thin and coming apart that my horse was getting big pieces of it as he ate the hay!! I was unaware of just how thin the ropes on this net were as they didn't start coming apart until he started eating.I'm not sure if the one that was sent to me had been sitting on a shelf for a long time which caused the material to weaken prior to it being sent to me or if it was made like this, but what I DO KNOW is that I am now out $8,800 in colic surgery, my stallion almost DIED, and we now are looking at 8+ MONTHS of rehab/recovery time (if he ever even fully recovers at all) all because I purchased this hay net to save money on hay being wasted. As if all of that is not bad enough upon calling the company the man who I spoke to was completely rude to me.I have NEVER made a bad review on a product nor am I one to cause a stink about anything, but I ABSOLUTELY AM making a stink this time because my horse almost lost his life due to this hay net!!So please, if you love your horse DO NOT buy this net; it is worth the money in wasted hay way more than it is to try to save a few bucks by buying this net and end up spending thousands in colic surgery and possibly lose your horse!

Couldn’t be more happy with this purchase!! Seems to be high quality that will last awhile. It shows as white in the advertisement but mine is black. It’s so easy to use and very easy to wrap around our hay. In the picture, you’ll see the wrap around about a 900 lb bale. There’s PLENTY of room for a much bigger bale. You can see how I wrapped up the excess. Very nice!!

Great product! Fits all sized bales a little difficult to put on by yourself but you can do it. Sturdy. It did get a hole in it but I have sheep that like to chew on the rope.

Our horses aren't exactly nice to haynets, but this is holding up so far. I appreciate the repair kit that came with the net, even though we haven't had to use it yet.Fit wise, it goes over a 1100lb roundbale snuggly and fits a 900lb bale a little looser, but the drawstring helps. We ended up tying a piece of colored ribbon to the end of the drawstrings so we could find it easier.

Very big on a 5x6 bale, plenty of extra for a 6,6 bale easily. Seems pretty well made, will update how it holds up over time. Liked that it comes with a couple repair kit/ sections aswell. After several months of hard use i wanted to leave an update. This is truly the best hay net we've ever owned. 5.5x6 bales and there's plenty of room to fit a bigger one. No tears, frays or anything to report!

I wanted to reduce hay consumption, so thought I would try a hay net. My veterinarian had recommended another brand, but, after reading reviews here, I thought this brand sounded good and was more economical. My 2 horses had been used to eating from the small square bale nets, so the netting was not new to them.Pros: Yes, the netting (while it lasted) did save hayCons: The netting was constantly in need of repair. The small amount of repair material provided did not cover the damage, and I ended up doing repairs using baling twine. The attached photo shows the extent of repairs after feeding only 3-4 large square bales.Summary: I have not used other brands of large-bale hay nets, so cannot say whether this is better or worse than other brands. Speaking strictly from this experience, I do not think the cost of the net is worth the hay savings, considering the net is pretty much destroyed after 4 bales, and the amount of time I spent repairing all of the holes. Just my two cents about this particular product for anyone who is considering hay nets to save hay.
