I do not have a DTF printer, only a converted ecotank for sublimation. In order to get images transferred onto cotton without needing to using sublimation HTV first, I wanted to give the "DTF Sublimation Hack" a try. I am now in love with this technique! The powder was really easy to use and gave great results.

I'm new to sublimation and DTF but have been looking for a process to transfer images of my artwork to other surfaces and decided to dive in and try it. I looked at several other products and decided on this one since most newbies seemed to fare better with a fine powder so there wasn’t as much of a chance of lumps forming. Since this was new to me, all the other supplies I used in the process were also new to me so I couldn’t really isolate how any one element I used made the outcome better or worse than it would have been if I had used a different brand. All I can say is that for a first try, my efforts turned out well enough that I now can’t wait to try more. The DTF powder itself was fine and easy to use and most of my transfers are fairly small so this package will probably last me forever! Thankfully it has a resealable bag but I might put a silica gel packet inside just to make sure the powder stays dry.

This powder melts nicely and adheres to garments with no problem. The colors remain vibrant and I have had any issues with peeling or the image not fully transferring. It is easy to use and the image lasts without fading or peeling after washing. Seems pretty durable so far.

I've been loving to sublimate! If you want to sublimate on cotton, your choices are to either iron down vinyl or use DTF Powder! You print out on DTF paper that is coated so that it's tacky. Then spread the powder on the paper where the ink is. Then iron on as usual! It actually works! It does help to cut out your design as much as possible, to avoid a shadow.
