I know my bike is safe when this is installed. However, it is very challenging to use. It's strong and coiled so using it requires a skillful uncoiling in order to maneuver through junctions or forks on the bike frame. I guess you can't have it both ways. Safe and pliable. So will settle for safe.

I bought Kryptonite in the past, still have it and I'm happy so I knew I would not be disappointed with this new purchase. Setting the combination to whatever number you like is very easy. 👍

Reasonably thick cable. The combination wheels don’t click into place, which means unless you’ve perfectly aligned them, it won’t open. I also found the latching mechanism to be very stiff and on a couple of occasions it became stuck. Don’t bother with this - look elsewhere.

This is a nice, relatively small and light lock to carry around daily for short stops on my utility daily rider bike. I like being able to set my own combination and not have to worry about forgetting to pocket the key. I found it easy to use once you get used to the mechanism and it is long enough to lock a bike to miscellaneous objects anywhere you may stop.

This is a great bike lock because it offers the protection of Kryptonite without having to remember the key. I had kin problem setting the code. It sits secure on the bike. It is long enough to securely lock it up to different sizes of bike racks.

Having two approaches to opening this cable lock, one with key and the other with combination, is the best of both worlds for me. As I age, sometimes the code or combination eludes me and it makes sense to have a plan B in case. Overall construction is solid, the lock mechanism smooth and most important...it works! Four stars are the score only because the stiff coil of the cable really can fight you when two hands aren't enough to keep everything in place while you lock up. Tough balance in design since the cable is so beefy for a secure result.

It's really heavy but that's OK. The only complaint, I know I'm picking nits, but the cable gets really, really stiff at cool temps (~ 10F - 15F).

Within 3 weeks of using the lock it jammed and would not release, had to cut it off. What a disappointment in what I thought was a quality lock.
