Using it to denail 2x4 and recycle construction lumber, works great even with my little 20V Dewalt compressor.

I can highly recommend this nail puncher i used it yesterday and it was brilliant i broke down a very sturdy pallet and it had absolutely no problem punching over 100 nails out of the wood i could easily remove the nails by hand saving time and effort the gun itself is lightweight yet well constructed and sturdy and didn't use a lot of air either

I used to use a hammer and pry bar to remove nails from pallet wood. This thing saves a ton of time. It shoots not pulls the nails through the boards. Even bent nails. I placed a few old blankets on floor so when the nails hit,the stop, not bounce around garage. I could dial down air pressure, but that's no fun.Came with rebuild kit. Reason for 4 stars is I've only punched out about 2500 nails.

Decent tool works better than a hammer to drive out. Still have to finish pulling nail on thicker lumber. But either way still makes job faster

This tool takes the chore out of removing old nails. I had no idea anything like this even existed. When I saw this tool I just had to get it. When you work with recycled wood, removing old nails can be a very daunting task. It used to take me forever to remove nails, now it takes seconds.

When we ordered this, it was for a particular project. We have about 75-80 new Wood Pallets that have sat in the corner of a large shed for about 2 years. They were given to us by a friend who knows that we use pallets to build above ground planters for vegetables. We hooked this up to our largest compressor and went to work. We quickly discovered that this unit is not built for pulling nails out of any thicker wood. It worked okay with the 3/4" slats on the top and bottom of the pallets, but not with nails that were driven deeply. We had to knock the end of those with a hammer to get them out. When we got to the thicker frame pieces of the pallet, we hit a brick wall. No way this will pull nails from anything thicker than about 1". We had to use the claw, pliers and a hammer to get those loose. This is one of the few products that I have not been very impressed with. First, it should be labeled as a device that removes SMALL nails. There should also be some sort of instructions that tell you the best way to use the puller. I had to go to YouTube to get information.I would not purchase this item for myself. It does not do what it is listed to do and only works with a small portion of nail and board sizes. If I had purchased this, I would return it.I was going with 2 Stars, but it does work, albeit with only smaller nails, but it does work.3 Stars

I noticed that since I got this, they've updated the description...but they really should re-name the device. If you have a nail sticking through a board that is straight out, this will push the nail almost all the way out of the board. They have a different unit that will PULL the nail out. If you're familiar with nail guns, this would be similar to a Positive Placement nailer. In fact, I might consider using it for that in a pinch. If you reclaim lumber like I do, this is a very helpful, time-saving tool. I'm even considering trying it to see if it will push a nail head down farther on Pallets, instead of cutting them out.

Well-built and solid. Pulls a smaller nails with ease the bigger nails take a little bit. Would be great for tearing apart, pallets, or reclaimed lumber.

My device I got in leaks air from the internal seals. This does work, but again mine is leaking so doesn't work 100% of the time. I'd say it works about 40% of the time and a hammer always works. This is a great tool if you have patients to learn how to use it.
