This item is easy to install and comes with good quality. But I doubt if it’s been helpful to my garbage disposal.I purchased this item for providing extra support to my garbage disposal as well as my under mount sink. But it turns out sometimes the big vibration may flipped back to the disposal itself through the support and caused a lose at the connection part eventually caused a leak. It might be other reasons but after removing the support it turns out to be fine. And my plumper suggested me if I want to provide extra support to my sink I can add two wood stick under the sink instead of to the garbage disposal.I’m writing this based on my personal experience and condition may vary. I returned the item bc I don’t need it any more. I’m using the garbage disposal from insinkerator with 1 HP for reference.

My one piece large basin under-mount sink separated from the counter. I can only imagine the effect of gravity in combination with the vibrations of using the disposal caused the separation over time. This device reduces the vibration significantly and I believe has reduced the strain on my sink.

This shock absorber was at a great price and does not take up too much space under the disposal. Solved my problem of garbage disposal vibration.

I needed something to support my garbage disposal which was too heavy and was causing the drain pipes to shift and leak. Hats off to whoever invented this gadget!!! It's simplistic but extremely clever and I couldn't find anything else like it anywhere. It's adjustable so it will fit a variety of spaces. Turns out it was a little too long to fit the space beneath my disposal, even in its lowest position, so I had to do some adapting. I cut the tubing shorter as well as the bolt and then reassembled it. To do this, you have to remove one of the inserts pressed onto the ends of the tubing, which I did by carefully prying it off. When I finished shortening the tubing, I put the whole thing in a vise and pressed the insert back into the tubing, then put the bolt in the vise and cut it shorter with a hack saw. The whole thing worked like a charm. Besides adding support, there are four spring legs which act as shock absorbers and cut down on vibration, and it can be installed in either direction. Very well made device.

The thing really works. Used it on a under-the-counter sync for extra support and minimal vibration I'm very pleased with the results
