Bought in November. I have not had an opportunity to install until now. J-bolts will not fit my F150. At this point, I am unsure if I should drill into bed before finding out if it even fits my truck. This thing has so much wind noise that it will.make you hate it.

Instructions are not clear & concise. Parts, nuts, bolts & washer packages are not labelled & have to be counted out physically. Plan on 8 hours or more for assembly plus two people to install. Now I have to remove the J-bolts, drill and mount it to the rail plan on 2-3 more hours. The rear bar is not removable as stated. It will be necessary to un-bolt 6 bolts to remove the rear cross bar for tall item transport. The J-bolts don't work on an F250, they make the bed rail bracket roll & stick in 3/4", will required drilling & bolting to the bed rail. Instructions are not adequate. For an 8' bed the front cross member needs to installed in front of the 1st vertical post prior to the front bow assembly or you will only have 72" for a 96" bed. I had to disassemble & re-assemble it. More time. The ONLY reason I purchased this item after my research is, it stated the rear bar was removable. I would not buy this again. Since it is assembled I will not return it. I will make it work even though it will be inconvenient. If I knew what I know now I would not have purchase it.
