I kept it so I could re-paint it myself. Now it's selling for more than double than what I originally paid. A Kurt Adler nutcracker should be excellent quality, I'm not sure what happened to this one. The lines were completely off, and R2's knobs were placed in the wrong spots, and scuff marks were all over. Very disappointed.

I ordered two of these, one from Amazon, and one from Macy’s, intended as a gift. The first one came with intact outer box but broken internal packing. The head was not on correctly, the nutcracker didn’t function correctly, the blue painted spots were instead black and crooked, and there was glue splatter all over the outside. The second one came with intact outer box and internal packing, but the unit was smashed into five pieces.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. He loves Star Wars and already has an R2D2 trash can I bought a couple of years ago for his birthday. This was in addition to a Darth Vader and Storm Trooper nutcrackers I bought from another source. He says they have a prominent place on his display shelf in his home. Thankfully, his wife love Star Wars, too, so I haven't created a conflict. The detail on this little statue is extraordinary and almost looks like it is going to start moving and talking. This is a perfect item for a Star Wars collector.
