Well built. Great Finish. Exact replacement for older Titan Handleset from Kwikset. Existing hole pattern worked great (2 3/8" offset). Door is 1 11/16" thick. This is a little less than the specified minimum thickness of 1 7/8", but worked just fine. Was able to use SmartKey technology to use this locks key to update the garage door lock.

These really improved the look of my front door and have a quality feel when opening and closing the door. Easy to install with good instructions, the re-keying took less than a minute after watching a video online, just make sure your original key (old key) is the same "type" to use the "smartkey rekey". Good luck!

築23年の我が家のサーマスルーの玄関ドアに着いていたドアノブ一式が長年の使用で金属摩耗のお掛けで、ラッチの動きが悪くなりました。ラッチだけでも良かったですが、これを機会にノブも交換。サイズも、ネジ穴もバッチリでした。新品のキレイなドアノブで妻も大喜びです。

On the positive side, the design is sleek and modern, adding a nice aesthetic touch to my front door. The satin nickel finish is attractive and matches well with other hardware in my home.The SmartKey rekey feature is convenient and easy to use. It allows for quick rekeying of the lock without needing to call a locksmith, which is a great option for security-conscious homeowners.However, there are a couple of issues that detract from my overall satisfaction. Firstly, the handle and knob feel a bit lightweight and less substantial than I expected. They don't have the solid, heavy-duty feel that I associate with high-quality door hardware.Secondly, while the lock is marketed as pick-resistant, I found it to be less secure than anticipated. It's important to note that no lock is entirely impervious to tampering, but I expected a bit more robustness in terms of security features. Installation was straightforward, thanks to clear instructions, but the durability of the internal mechanisms remains to be seen over time.

It isn't difficult to install these. It took me an extra bit of time because I couldn't figure out how to take out my existing one lol. I also didn't take the time to read the instructions slowly as I have changed several of these out before, but not this model. Once I re-read the instructions it went smoothly. Of course I didn't have to install it as new so that makes it super super simple.

We bought a series of Kwikset locks for the exterior doors at our new home and were very pleased with both their obvious quality and the ease of converting them all to use the same key. The SmartKey feature is very easy to use and worked perfectly. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.
