This is a quality sliding, door handle, sturdy, and easy to install. It’s all steel construction makes it durable a step above the original equipment manufactured of my Milgard sliding door plastic handle.I recommend it.

Really made a nice updated appearance to our door versus the old style wooden handle.

I had to return this because I ended up finding another one that I liked better, but I’m still giving it 5 stars because it was exactly as described and I still liked it.

As other reviewers shared, the screws provided were too short. Thankfully I had some longer ones on hand.

It's pretty sturdy, the handle is comfortable, and it fit well to the existing holes.

The fit and finish appears good. It performs as expected for the most part. It is smooth and the paint looks durable. Most of the parts appear to be metal. Overall, I'm happy. The main issue is the locking latch is too far away from the door frame. This allows the door to slide a couple of millimeters. It makes it feel like someone who is trying to get in may try to slide the door back and forth to try to get momentum to break it. My prior latch was much closer to the frame and did not have this problem. I wish latch was adjustable. I noticed most people have this issue. In the photos you can see there's a distance between the latch and the ridge part of the frame that prevents the latch from passing. One option is to re-drill new holes further away from the edge of the door to eliminate the play. This would need to be done above or below the existing holes by about an inch to reduce the risk the metal will fail between the holes. That's probably what I'll end up doing. Another option would be to try to find it make a spacer to attached to the door frame. This seems like more work and more risky due to possible failure.
