Your cart is empty. The KYB Gas-a-Just monotube shock absorber has additional performance advantages over the traditional twin-tube design: It can instantly, automatically adjust to your performance needs and never experiences fade due to aeration. The Gas-a-Just is available as an OE monotube replacement and as an OE twin-tube performance upgrade. The KYB Gas-a-Just has two separate working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness & control, and a second high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds instant performance on demand.

The shocks installed super easy, and the truck (a GMC Envoy XL) handles much better with them installed than with the worn-out original shocks.

best bank for the buck.I liked the increased ride control I had a set of 4 on an other vehicle for 10 years and lots of miles and still firm no leaks or soft spots.

The KG4162 rear shocks came as they should and seem to operate fine. The KYB 331043 from Car Quest was missing the rubber cushions for the bottom of the springs. One box had one the other had none. The units itself seem to operate fine although I only installed the struts yesterday.

I bought two sets of these for two cars one was a GMC Envoy XL and the other was a Nissan Pathfinder both cars ride rough with these shocks installed. On the set I bought for the envoy one shock was missing the rubber bushings, nuts and washers it also happened to be the second shock I installed and it had me scratching my head. I thought I installed it wrong but it turned out they were not needed for my application.

I have used KYB Gas Adjust Shock on more than one vehicle over the years. I really like what they do for the stability of the vehicle. I bought 2 of these for less than I have paid for one.
