A solid screen for areas where common window screening is too flimsy. This is more like a rigid sheet. Would buy again.

The quality of this stainless mesh is quite good, consistent weave and fairly robust as far as screen goes. I'm using this as sediment pre-filter on a gravity water system; basically this is a first stage catcher. 100 mesh should filter particles down to 150um, so it should capture common beach sand and larger, as well as some finer grit. Of course, very fine particulates like some clays and smaller silts will pass though, but that's fine for my application as secondary and tertiary filters will clear that. All in all, very pleased with this mesh and it serves my purposes well.

The screen makes awesome screen printing screens. If you want to start out, make sure you select the mesh count ( threads per inch ) carefully per your application needs. 100 mesh is on the fine end for what I'm doing but it'll give the detail I'm after at the cost of less ink transfer ( without more work ). Probably useful for many many other applications like filtering etc...This seems to be a good quality stainless steel screen.

Most of us have to vent our roofs and crawl spaces. Unfortunately, termites need only 0.02" of gap to squeeze through. I've seen termites caught in my window screens, but window screen material won't hold up on the roof or down where people can walk by and bump. To keep termites out I need a screen made of metal, and to keep them out for a long time that metal can't rust. At 40 mesh, this woven screen material is made of good quality non-magnetic stainless steel that won't rust, and has holes far smaller than what a termite can even push its head through. This screen material gives a light, gauzy view of what's beyond, and is firm enough to be mounted and held down where needed (I clamp it with a wood strip that I screw in). I'm sure this mesh screen could also be used in the kitchen to make a very fine sieve for use with food, it's that good. I received three sheets, each was about 1/4" to 3/8" larger than the promised 16x12. I've already re-covered a crawl space vent that had a crumbling galvanized steel screen with holes that were too big anyway for it to do its job. You'll need something like aviation snips to properly cut this mesh. They can be chosen to curve left or right, or cut straight. I use the straight-cutting snips. You can also use heavier duty tin snips but I didn't find this necessary. Find these tools here at Amazon, look them up by the names I've given here. I am very pleased and very satisfied with this true 300-series stainless steel 40 mesh screen material. Goodbye termites, sorry you'll be going hungry.

I got the 80 mesh. I plan to use it to cover the holes in the bottoms of some outdoor planters I have, so when it rains and the planter drains I don't lose a lot of soil along with the excess water. You will need to have metal cutters of some kind to cut it. Household scissors will be ruined if you try to use them and you likely will still not accomplish your goal. This mesh is so fine that it almost looks like woven fabric. I'm thinking taffeta. I'm really happy to have found this. It serves my needs well.

Easy to cut and woven well! I use this material to make custom ultrasonic cleaner baskets. I used 3d printed box frame and easily cut the mesh to stretch along the box frame. It is strong and easy to cut and there's plenty of material for a hobbyist like me. It's great value and the quality of this is really good. There are no defects or weird stringing on the mesh. Good stuff!
