These lamp shade light bulb clips really work! You do not need a lamp finial. Just slide it on your light bulb. The price is great, and so easy to use! My only regret is that I wish I had known about these clips sooner.

They are pretty tight so I stretched the wires apart a couple of times before placing over the light bulb. The wires have to have a certain amount of tightness in order to stay in place. Therefore to those who say it busted their light bulb, be gentle with it when placing it over the light bulb. Stretch back the wires, set it over the bulb, then gently let the wires set against the light bulb. These adapters are not meant to just plop over a bulb and watch the wires crush the bulb. If this concept does not work for then you are better off purchasing a harp with the other necessary parts to make the regular conversion.
