These desks are insanely strong. I use them in my music classroom:1. to have a place for kids to put lunch trays when they eat in my room;2. to elevate small glockenspiels for easier playing;3. for writing/coloring pages (no desks in a music room!);4. for young students to sit on so the kids further back in the room can see the smartboard;5. for centers! Manipulatives fit in the side and there’s ample room to work on the flat surface.They will outlast my career.WORTH EVERY PENNY (especially in the sets of 8!)!

The working area is great and the side compartments are very helpful. I had to add non-skid shelf lining strips as the table would slide easily across the floor.
