Very flimsy. The pillow was not stuffed enough and so so it was hard on your lap. Then the cup holder came out and all this stuffing went all over my bed and my floor. I threw it away.

I used to have a similar device that was perfect for writing and I completely wore it out after several years.It was larger and better padded than the one I received, probably better for laptops than old fashioned pad and pencil. I'll keep it 'cause I need it can use it, but it's inferior to the ones available in the past.

Actually, I didn't plan to buy this, but I'm very glad I did! I ordered one for an 96 year old friend. But it turned out that I bought two. After seeing it, I kept it! It was bigger than my other one and much nicer! Definitely, recommend this lap desk! Very comfortable and works well for me when using my IPAD etc. Only think I'm not as happy with, is my old one had a tray for a pen or pencell. I thought this did also, but what you see at the bottom is actually a pen rest, not a pen tray. But that's minor!

I absolutely LOVE this lap desk! I’ve been using a different one for a couple of years but it wasn’t wide enough for my Johanna Basford and Kirby Rosanes books. They kept falling off which aggravated me to no end, because I spend so much time colouring I decided “Enough is enough!” and decided to look for something different on Amazon.I measured the width of my open books (20”) and while I was unable to find anything wider than that, I found this lap desk (18” wide) and I’m so glad I did! My wider books slightly hang over the edge width-wise but there’s a good 4” of desk at the top of the page.This desk has a cup holder but it’s not very deep and I’m a “spiller and knocker over” to begin with, so I use the cup holder for holding erasers and sharpeners. (FINALLY a place to put my small, metal pencil sharpeners so I don’t lose them over and over again!) There’s also a ledge thingy that’s 5 1/2 inches wide at the bottom of the desk surface to hold your books in place. But what I think is one of the best (and surprising!) features is UNDERNEATH the surface of the desk, the part that actually rests on your lap is so cool ~ not only is it superdeeduper soft (the outer fabric feels kind of velvety) and comfortable, you can move the little pieces of “stuffing” around to adjust the height and angle of the desk!Adult colourers and anyone else who’s looking for the perfect lap desk, I’ve done the work for you ~ all you have to do now is “add to cart”😉

great for a few months. Then the adhesive in the cupholder failed. The Styrofoam pillow beads went everywhere. Bought 2, same problem with both.
